Funny how when he got here, everyone hated him for being a "New Yorker".

He's there 8 years and now he is Mr. Houston?

    Huh? What?

    Exactly! :)

Gundy is a class act and a true leader. I hope he retires as a Rocket.

    I don't

He's a good guy but he couldn't get us out of the first round.

You guys don't remember when people were calling for Van Gundy's head when we lost those playoff series against the Mavs and Utah. I think Jeff Van Gundy wouldn't be doing a much better job with the pieces we have on this team now than Rick Adelman.

I think Rick gets more out of his players than most coaches do. He led a bunch of mostly role players to 42 wins last year. Imagine how well we'd do if we had the talent the top teams in the league had.

I doubt RA will be here next year. I would like to see Van Gundy come back.

And all this time I thought it was the players that didn't show up in game 7 vs. the mavs that prevented us from getting out of the first round. Damn you JVG, damn you!

Someone tell JVG to stick around and run through some X's and O's.

I can honestly say I have grown to like Jeff Van Gundy the person over the years. Definitely a good cause.

maybe JVG should also help the Rox in another fundraiser that would help us getting a true blue Center..

Everybody remembers that. So what? Those people call for everyone to be fired and everyone to be traded.

As the post you quoted says, I don't hate Adelman. He's a good coach. I just prefer Jeff Van Gundy.
