Collier looked promising tonight if the dude stays healthy. I love the Jason Friday the 13th mask...he should always wear it! He has a great turn and quick hook shot and really impressed me tonight. Now, it was against some soft bodies, but still! It also shows you the respect, Rudy has for Stoudemire, when Collier was guarding him....is that putting a body on him or what?

I think in the "motion" or whatever it is called offense Creampuff may be a better option than Cato. From what little I have seen about this guy, he has decent hands and can pass tha ball. As I've said before, talent-wise Creampuff is no worse than T-Mac (the Canadian one), and the guy went to the NBA Finals twice in the last couple years. Especially last year he fit very well in Jersey's motion offense.

Beside his decent hands, Creampuff's huge behind is another plus in the new offense. That's like a double pick right there. If we were to lose Cato's $42 mil. contract somehow I think we'll still be fine at backup C. Go Air Creampuff!!!

Yeah, JC looked good but he has shown glimpses of his potential before, and then followed it with a flurry of disappointing games. So, once I see more games like this (especially during the regular season), then I'll jump on the Collier bandwagon.

Thanks God we do not need to lose Cato's contract. Collier has shown this ability before. He runs the floor well and has very good range on his shot. As Rudy said in his PC, Collier was part of the plan to matchup with Shaq two years ago, so I do expect him to figure in this year. As it is he is as good as all the centers on the Bucks. :)

I really think it's the Mask. Maybe he thinks he's a superhero now. Hopefully other teams are paying attention and he ups his trade value.

So, are you complimenting Collier, or what?

Yeah make a trade for what? IS there a need to be addressed? What you looking for? A SF? PF? PG? OG? Picks?

If JC can stay healthy for once, maybe he can contribute to the team a little. He has always shown glimmers of hope, but has never come through. Come on JC, show us what you got!

Its funny how Collier has never gotten the love around here yet, when he produces decent numbers in one pre-season game while our two main centers are out, he is now thought of as a legitimate backup center.

i dont know about being a backup yet. i do know that cato will get half the game (24 minutes). yao should get the other half, but foul trouble on yao in his first year, of not just NBA basketball ball but american basketball, may give collier a chance to play about 3-6 minutes a game.

Well, you know how it is with all us homers..We jump at the chance to actually say something nice about even the worst players we have..:D

Seriously, even I aint hoppin on the Whipped Cream man's bandwagon just yet. He did look pretty decent out there, but he's done that before. If JC could get that many boards(edit:brainfart) in the time he plays and puts at least a little D on his man..I wont continually call for RT to trade him.

We will see..I dont think Yao will have as much trouble with fouls as some around here, but it's nice to see that if he does, we have 2 or 3 other guys capable of playin the 5. It's all about the depth folks..and we have lots of it ..(knock on wood)..

Hell, we've given Cato a couple years at the starting Center position, can't we give Collier a month or two with him getting a constant 15 - 20 minutes per game?

Seriously, is he that much worse than Cato, if so why is he still here?

I can now see that I will never live my original sig line down. :D

See, Ive always thought homers (like yourself :p), would be more critical seeing as how these players are like your children. :D

One thing I did notice last night, when Collier did come down for a rebound, he had it knocked out of his hands a time or two. Granted its preseason, but hes able to protect the ball when he comes down with it.

If you actually look at his rebounds per minute last year, which was close to 11 or 12 per 48, they might jump out at ya. So if Collier does have any skills, it looks like rebounding just might be one of them. :D

Maybe Q.Richardson? Maybe a NYK Injury Exemption? Maybe an Euro/Asian/African To Be Named Later?
What do I know? I'm just a ramblin', uninformed A/M/M.

Things I would want to address but that this team doesn't necessarily "need" is a back-up big/physical/defensive guard that could shut down someone for a quarter, and a playoff-experienced guard who could prepare our very playoff-inexperienced guys (and who doesn't mind being inactive.)

Q strikes me as a physical guard who we could get straight up for our Big Masky.

Collier's scary mask makes Stoudemire almost jump out of his shorts!

Thunderpudge was a bit disappointing in the first half, but he really had a solid second half to make up for it...

I didn't get to see the game, but I'm sure Jason will contribute nicely to Houston's run this year.

All the pieces are in place for them to make some noise in the West!

That mask that Jason is wearing reminds me of Lucious Harris from the Nets when he wore his mask for good luck. Jason seems to be playing pretty well since the mask, maybe he should wear it for the whole season.:D :D :D

I might quit jabbin atcha eventually...:p

Its actually the other way around with homers like me (optimistic ones)...we try to refrain from slamming players, or even try to minimize the bad play of them because we cant bear to accept the worst.

btw, where the hell did I get the 12 board s thing..I must have mixed up his points with his boards..what a moron I feel like now..
The boxscore has him with 4 boards last nite..and 18 minutes...so his boards per 48 would be 10.8 (like that stat matters)
Which is in line with the number you said. Anyway...

Like I said, we will see..I hope for the best and expect the worst for him and Cato..I hope they both prove my instincts wrong.

    Well Mr. Simpson,

I think thats a good attitude to have. I find myself pickin on players more than I outright slam them. Ya know how the saying goes ..."you only pick on people you like". Thats why Ricerocket picks on me. He likes me, he just won't admit it :)p). j/k

At this point, picking between Cato and Collier is like picking between an apple that you found in the trash and a sandwhich that was half eaten by Thomas Hamilton. Theres not much to like about either, but if your hungry, you have to pick one.

    :D
