yeah I don't care about the legend/rep anymore after the last go-round with the Wiz. Not that this article suggests anything about a comeback (in fact, it denies it)...but I would love to see him back on the court for 15 mpg. Knowing he's 48, the expectations wouldn't really be there for him to be insane. But if he was remotely productive, I think it'd be awesome. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=6109391
That's pretty cool, it must at least boost morale when the GOAT is helping out your team and striving to make it better
bob cats have no morale, all the players got to see is someone who picked kwame(still on the team) trying to show off he can still play at an old age, was top 5 player all time, but too bad now
The Bulls need a SG. He has to still have more game than Bogans. Could he own a team, and play for another?
Nope. For him to make a comeback he would have to renounce ownership of the Bobcats. Same thing happened when he played for the Wizards. He had to cut all of the management aspects of it before playing.
http://espn.go.com/nba/dailydime/_/page/dime-110211-13/latest-trade-chatter I know of at least one former Michael Jordan teammate who's convinced that Jordan wants to make an NBA comeback at 50 years old. If that's true, His Airness has two years to find a buyer for the Charlotte Bobcats so he's eligible to play again. Jordan practiced Thursday with the Bobcats -- one week before his 48th birthday -- and looked quite good according to co-captain Stephen Jackson. "We should sign him," Jackson told me, adding that Jordan dunked "without any effort" and citing a sweet lefty finish on a post-up move as MJ's most memorable contribution to the workout. Don't forget, though, that league rules preclude NBA owners from playing for their own teams without selling off their shares. Don't forget, furthermore, that Jordan (with the Wizards in 2001) and Magic Johnson (with the Lakers in 1996 and with yours truly as a first-year Lakers beat writer) were mere minority owners when they made their comebacks from the executive suite, making it a lot easier to find someone to buy them out. You figure it would take Jordan at least two years to find someone willing to assume majority control of the Bobcats, given how long it took His Airness to assemble a deal to take over from founding owner Bob Johnson.
I'd like to see a game on all star weekend, like 15 min halves with all the players like jordan, hakeem, clyde, barkley etc playing for their conferences
I would give anything to see Jordan try and play at 50. Imagine If he could just suit up for 15 minutes a game on a contending team. It would be remarkable.
