I'm not gonna argue how we are better with this team next season because Carmelo will be long gone by then.

    Lowry/Mo Williams/Ish
    Lee/T-Will
    Melo/Harrington
    Scola/Harrington/Chuck
    Chuck/Brad Miller

Tell me what exactly this team does better during the two months they are together. Scoring? Carmelo only scores one more point than Martin in 4 more minutes of play. Defense? Nope, not even from the starting line up. Opponents will score so easily when the starters get tired. This team would have no bench points, no defense, and Harrington and Williams manning the 2-4.

I want the Nets to be great then I want this tool to convert to a Nets beat writer, and finally have the Nets relocated to Brooklyn.

We would be forced to see things like Brad Miller guarding Pau Gasol when Hayes needs rest.

And I am concerned Morey may do something like this. Considering the age of Camby, and the fact Melo will probably walk at the end of the season, we would definitely be in WIN NOW mode. Well, Clutchfans have been begging for a trade to be made, we may just get our wish granted for better or for worse.

Send Martin to Celeveland so Denver can dump the remaining two months of Kenyon Martin's contract? This guy is high. Here's $3 million cash, and let's forget that part.

If a trade happens rest assured it will be for the better. I wish this garbage was never posted.

Why would the suns send Nash to NY for that?

Rockets could offer a FAR BETTER return for them, instead of expirings, a huge and INSURED expiring in Yao, plus 2 or 3 young assests (Brooks, Hill, Chase), as good or better of what NY offers. Even a pick could be added for convincing the Suns.

Getting Nash is more realistic than getting Melo, the difference_ in Nash case it wouldnñt be a rental.

And for convincing superstars to come. I guess they´d prefer to improve their stats playing with Nash, that deteriorating their stats playing with ballhog Melo.

Nash is more realistic, better for the Rockets, and more important, it wouldnñt be a half season rental, or won´t mean having melo asking for a trade next year, if he agrees to an extension.

Melo only wants to play in NY, it´s clear that he won´t be happy anywhere else.

*** Off Topic *** (kind of)

In stead of that historically terribad trade attempt by Hollinger, Lets talk D. Williams. Seriously, Jerry Sloan is packing his bags because Williams wants more offensive freedom. Does any coach in the league have a better system for a PG who wants offensive freedom than Rick? Get rid of brooks, and whoever else to make it happen, but leave Lowry in there as backup PG / 2 guard. Deron Williams is top 3 PG in the league on a healthy body with a restrictive offensive system. Imagine giving him the freedom and pairing that with the young athleticism of T-Will, Budinger, Lee (if we still have) J-Hill ETC.. Im sure we lose 1 or 2 of them in a trade but there would be something left from that pool..

    Thoughts?

If Carmelo ends up in NY I will hate him. I hated the LeBron to NY talks, but LeBron is okay in my book. Carmelo is a douche. I bet he listens to Empire State of Mind.

I bet if you ask him why do you want to play in NY he won't have an answer. LeBron didn't fall for their media. The fact that they gave up a lot to clear cap space for LeBron didn't matter to him.

In OKC or Houston it's cheaper and he would win more games.

If he leaves, he's going to NY.

I have a feeling he is gonna stay in Denver. There's nothing wrong with keeping your options open. Carmelo loves being a media darling.

I think none of those trades will happen, IMO we will not acquire Anthony but instead we will acquire player like Danny granger or Iggy, just like the Martin trade no one knew about it until it happened.

True, an assets value is dependent on its value to the receiving party, someone needs to tell these basketball writers we live in the 21st century and the demand side pricing paradigm...
