[rquoter]The Knicks have been willing to move Anthony Randolph and Memphis has gauged interest in Hasheem Thabeet, but the Rockets have sought more immediate help.[/rquoter]

The time for seeking immediate help is long gone.

Pretty spot on. I couldnt have said it better myself.

Roslo also made great points and actually i said something similar last season. Fasenko was availible last year for little or nothing. The Jazz have been far enough in lux tax land that they let matthews go fo mle money, sign and trade boozer also.

This is my feeling on the center idea and the rockets without yao, they shouldve just gotten 2 young guys and platoon the spot or 1 young guy and 1 vet. People didnt like the idea i brought up this offseason, but I wouldnt have resigned lowry. I would have let him walk or sign and traded him and used the ariza tpe to get Sesssions and Hollins and then signed Fasenko. With fasenko and hollins in the middle, the rockets wouldve had a guy who can clog the paint and a guy who can defend in space. Hell, they could also signed maihimi also and let him compete for minutes at center and they would have still been under the lux tax line. Of course all this couldve been avoided by drafting jordan vs dorsey 3 yrs ago.

Pretty much. Immediate help had morey trading one of the most talented players in the draft for a role player. 4 yrs later and we're still looking for another 3 man.

Ex-lottery pick on rookie pact has attractive upside.

Man...Adelman seems really annoyed at all the trade talks involving the Rockets. I wonder if Morey and Adelman are on the same page.

You agree with a guy who calls Morey overrated and sings Adelman's praises, but complain that we didn't sign a guy to an offer sheet, knowing the Jazz would've matched and later found a way to get out of the LT....

...and Morey goes and signs Brad Miller. Now, who do you think might have had a hand in that move?

As for a "3", well, yes....swing and a miss, swing and a miss. Don't know if Rudy Gay at his current contract is worth it, although he'd be great playing for Adelman. Maybe Morey would've done a good job killing Gay's value around the league in order to sign him at a lower price. Morey IS good at that.

"Any deal with the Nuggets would center around second-year forward Jordan Hill"

I can't tell you how happy that statement makes me. If the chron only gets one thing right out of this article, I hope it's the above statement.

A taller version of Chuck Hayes, yes please (that's being hopeful). Wagon can then move back to PF- what he was training for, previously, during the offseason.

Martin and the Chuckwagon are the two players on the roster I would call "untouchable." everyone else i's expendable. I'd like to see iguodala, dalambert , or Greg Monroe wearing rockets red.

Thank you. I have been preaching this for the longest. Clutchfans wants Carmelo, but we don't need him because we already have a go-to guy in Martin and Scola. What Clutchfans need is Nene.

Obviously I was talking about the turkish national team.

I doubt he's D-League material. He's just a rookie, and he's helping the Bulls already. For example, in Utah, yesterday, a lot.

The ONLY way I even consider trading Courtney Lee to Chicago, if I'm Morey, is if the Bulls are sending back the 2012 first rounder they got from Charlotte in the Tyrus Thomas deal.

The pick is lottery protected in 2012, but the protection slowly burns off over time (top-12 protected in 2013, top-10 protected in 2014, top-8 protected in 2015 and unprotected in the 2016 Draft). If Jordan decides to slash salary (the team is losing money every year) and rebuild, that pick could end up being a nice mid-lottery pick in a few years.

I love Lee, but I'd consider the following trade:

Courtney Lee and the 2011 HOU/LAC 2nd round pick
    for
Omer Asik and the 2012 CHA 1st round pick

Unfortunately, I bet Chicago highly values that CHA pick and won't trade it unless it's for a major difference-maker. We can only hope that the Bulls (on the cusp of contending in the East) are desperate enough for a young, starting-caliber SG that they'd give up the pick for Lee.

We are not looking for a three man, we are looking for a center.

The only reason the 3 spot gets brought up is because all of the best talent that is available at the moment, happens to be at the three.

Your obbsession with this trade four years ago is disturbing, get past it already.

Morey didn't offer Fesenko a contract for a reason. He knew Utah would match it since Fes was restricted. But now Fes is going to go into the offseason unrestricted. I would bet that Morey was getting a feel for what kind of deal Fesenko would accept then and if he made it to unrestricted free agency.

Utah is currently about $5 million into the luxury tax. We do have the tradability to get them out of luxury tax, about $7 mill savings for the tax and salaries we take back. A simple Jared/Battier for Ak-47/Fesenko would do it. But I would imagine this is a minor, last resort type deal that Morey has available on the backburner.

LOL I don't post as much anymore due to work and grad school but stuff like this always cracks me up.

    1. W22_Streak don't even bother to read the response and clicks "reply"
    2. W22_Streak tries to call someone out
    3. Members calls W22_streak out for being an idiot that's ready to flame others without even reading their whole response
    4. W22_Streak leaves thread

    It's a pattern, I tell ya
