Because Adelman forgot to look at the height chart. Adelman rule number 23, when you are getting killed on the boards, keep your biggest players on the bench. sort of like Adelman rule number 17, when a player is seriously sucking, extend their minutes. or like Adelman rule number 34, when drawing up a play out of a time out, give the shot to the player with the lowest shooting percentage. I may write a book on these; add to the list if you like.
Patterson has not played well the last few games. I don't blame Adelman for shortening the big rotation, and that's not the reason we lost anyway.
Might not have made a HUGE difference but when you get out-rebounded by 20, PPat or Jordan might have helped in that department. Adelman wanted to go small to counter Minnesota but why not go bigger and make them counter you.
Man, we got creamed on the boards. Yes, Patterson is hitting the rookie wall and not playing well. And no, Hill doesn't help. But you can't get around the fact that Scola got 2, count 'em 2, boards. Some of those myriad of offensive rebounds were the direct result of Scola not boxing out. Our starting PF plays thirty someodd minutes and comes up with 2 boards. We did not have enough bigs is why we lost. Patterson may not have helped. Hill definitely would not have helped. But we only had one big in this game that is fundamentally sound. And he's only 6'6". Scola is a one-way player. Bless his heart.
why doesn't dumbass adelman play t-will...whats the worst case senario "we lose" big whoop we always lose regardless so y not play him i hope he gets fired i nvr liked him
Do you guys even watch Rockets games? PPat has been sucking so he rots on the bench until he proves himself... He can chat with Hill, another player that we picked up that sucks
Well I can understand Hill. He sucks at rebounding And he is not 100% Were we really being killed on the boards? Really just felt like they weren't missing. Didn't seem like there were many defensive rebounds to get.
Are you serious? You get the ball to Battier at his favorite spot where he hits something like 50% with no defender within 15 feet of him. That's a brilliantly drawn up play.
Dude what are you complaining about? You had Chuck Hayes who shutdown Kevin Love. Love only had 20pts & 14rebounds! STOP WHINING!
We have them, 3 more, specifically. I don't buy the "may not have helped" and "definitely would not have helped". Put them on the court, and we talk after the game.
We've seen enough of Hill. Don't need to put him on the court. He played himself out of the rotation. He is not effective at either end of the court. Patterson has shown some signs but recently he's looked a little out of kelter. We just don't have anybody else. We got Hayes, Scola, and Miller. That's two guys that play zero D and rebound very little and both of them shoot the basketball and pass it fairly decently and one big who is 6'6" who plays good defense. Patterson, because he is a rookie, is not a stellar defender at this stage of his career. He could've probably got us more than 2 boards however. I don't understand why he didn't get some minutes. My thought was a possible trade. But I don't know why other than he hasn't been playing very good the last few games.
