Since we dont know Mobes' future, and I am soooo tired of reading various rants, I have been thinking about different trade scenarios and I have come up with a couple. Tell me what you all think: If Mobes stays: Since it appears that Timmy T is staying in Milwaukee, maybe the Fizer/O'Neal trade is off. If that is the case then I say we send Chi town Drew/WW/a pick or exception for Fizer. Chicago is going to need a PG and Drew fits their system quite well I would think. Walt is a throw in whose contract is going to be up soon (maybe they can get some FAs next year?). I know that this deal is probably not enough for Fizer w/out Cato but I think that losing Cato for Fizer might be a step back. Teaming the two together might be enough with a good SF (draft or Lewis next year) to get us back into the playoffs next year. team: Francis/Mooch SA/Mobes 'Los/Langhi Fizer/KT/Collier Cato/Dream/Collier If Mobes leaves: First off all those people who said "wait till the first to talk smack" will give him hell. In this deal we trade Cato/WW/pick or exception to LAC for DA/Kandiman. Kandi just hasn't worked for them and they are going to lose DA unless this very difficult three way is done. This way they get an upgrade at C and a tutor for their young perimeter players. We get a project (former #1 pick) C and a replacement for Mobes. SA would start but log minutes at the three when DA comes in. team: Francis/Mooch SA/DA 'Los/SA/Langhi KT/Collier Kandi/Dream ------------------
How bout we trade all these Mobley Threads for One Solid Oeilpere post!!!!!!!!!!!! ------------------ Stuff BBS, the Rockets and you guys It's all Clippers these days, come join the bandwagon and visit http://www.ClippersCity.net
I like the idea about the fizer trade. I also agree that trading cato would be a bad idea, but i also think that we would have to throw in kt or somebody else to make it work. But who knows we didnt give up that much talent to get francis. ------------------
But Franchise forced the trade and the Grizzlies did get more then expected with Dickerson and Harrington. Look at the 2 Mikes now in Vancouver! ------------------ I'm tha hip hop attracta, rapper slash acta, right back at cha!
". Chicago is going to need a PG and Drew fits their system quite well I would think."-UT BALLA Chicago has a ton of point guards rite now. They got Jamal Crawford, Khalid El-Amin, and AJ Guyton. Chicago would never trade FIZER for Drew/WW/exception or future pick, unless the pick was a guarantee to be in the top 5. And I think Derek Anderson is a free agent and is going to sign with the Spurs, so we wont be able to get him in the Clipper trade. ------------------ treasurer of the moochie norris fan club
Here's my trade idea. What if the Bulls were to agree with the Rockets to sign Rasahrd Lewis to a 5-7 mil. a year deal to make a trade with the Rockets: Houston gets Marcus Fizer and Rashard Lewis Chicago gets Kelvin Cato,Houston's 2001 draft pick, Milwaukee pick owed to the Rockets. Rockets get their frontcourt of the future, Bulls get a center and they load up on draft picks for next years draft. ------------------ You ain't gotta like me, you just mad cause I tell it how it is, and you tell it how it might be.
NEW JACK: I think we would have to give up a lot more than that. Let's say Cato/WW/KT/FUTURE 1 PICK/FUTURE 1 PICK. ------------------ treasurer of the moochie norris fan club
it also can't happen, as a sign and trade can only happen with a player's original team. This deal could go down December 15th (or is it November or October? just a minor detail) point is, partway into the season. ------------------ The more lefties on your team, the better. Collier is Seven Foot and Left Handed. How can you go wrong? Trade or bench Kenny Thomas.
Newjack, I like your idea, and I also agree with snowman that we would have give up a hell of a lot more than you suggest. However, there are some technical problems also:- You cannot do a sign and trade on someone elses free agent. If the Bulls signed Rashard Lewis to a $5-$7mil contract they would have to wait until December 15 (or 3 months from signing date, whichever is longer)before they could trade him too us. Possible but unlikely. Secondly, in doing this Rashard would lose his Bird status. Probably not a big deal since he would be earning $5mil+ but he would want a multi-year deal as compensation. I like the philosophy though, and it means we could get our hands on Rashard a little earlier than most people thought. December 15 would not be too late for me. ------------------ Current Rocket's Salary & Contract Info
What I'm thinking is Rashard only agrees to sign with the Bulls so they can trade him to the Rockets so it's really like Rashard is signing with the Rockets. So basically the deal would really be Kelvin Cato, and the 2 draft picks for Marcus Fizer which I think is a pretty fair deal. ------------------ You ain't gotta like me, you just mad cause I tell it how it is, and you tell it how it might be.
Everybody would love for it to happen, but it CANT as it is a violation of the rules so it wont. ------------------ When I die I want to go peacefully like my grandfather. Not screaming like the passengers in the back seat!
