I don't think he'll be traded. Morey is a very smart and calculating gm. If there was this problem and you intended to trade him, why announce it publicly that he left the bench and why announce publicly that you are suspending him. This just put his trade value into the toilet. And for AB, this gave him a very bad reputation. Both the team and AB would have incentive to keep this on the low while seeking a trade.
Blame Ginobili? Hell, I'd THANK Ginobili. Before, I just thought that Brooks was your run of the mill overrated undersized inefficient scoring SG in a PG's body who is a liability on defense. But at least had a role in helping the team as a spark off the bench. In fact, this is what I argued for the past 2 years, since we traded for Lowry. Now, thankfully for Ginobili's foot, I see my errors. Now we've gotten to know AB a little better. In addition to all of the above, what I failed to see was the selfish headcase mental midget that has no place in any role on this team. Ginobili's foot just saved us from a potential long term commitment to Brooks. Where his diva tantrums could have flared up at any moment and we would be having this conversation about him stuck with 5 more years on the books.
I'd like to revise my offseason speculation that he'd share the fate of fellow MIP's like Dana Barros & Darrell Armstrong - at this rate he'll be out of the league long before they were. So much for the future irreplaceable Alpha dog.
Brooks just had his "Super Bowl Steve Francis" moment. What is it about Rockets PGs and Super Bowl weekend?
the saddest thing to watch was AB's effort in the san antonio game last week. I was *very* disappointed at how half-assed and uninterested brooks appeared the entire time he was in. you would think that even if he doesn't care about helping the rockets win that at least against the sperms and manure he would have wanted some payback
What is pathetic is how your argument for Brooks has crumbled to a pile of **** as you still try to cling on to some semblance of credibility. Since your internet ego won't allow you to admit to your mistakes in judgment, at least follow in DDs steps and spare us the bumbling excuses. Cue blaming the organization for AB being mad. Oh wait that already started in the other thread.
Don't necessarily agree with all his post but in moments of adversity, we tend to see someone's true colors...not good for AB.
i agree with this 100% but its crazy to say the guy is mentally unstable! call him childish that seems for fitting! it bothers me when guys put players way up there in status and say "oh he should act like i want him to act" i really dont care if ab quit. the guy sh!ts ,breaths and sleeps just like i do and ppl f**k up, whoop big deal! these dudes are not role models and shouldnt be treated as such! im open to trade him or if he straightens up! trading him for trash players is not an option! peace!
I live about 5 miles down the road from Cowboys stadium, i just went out to pick up some food and saw this...
In any case, this little stunt will almost certainly end any lingering controversy about who the Rockets starting point guard is going to be, Lowry or Brooks. The answer to this question has now been definitively resolved. Kyle Lowry is the starting point guard for the Houston Rockets. Case closed.
Dunta Robinson - "Try my technique, it got me out of Houston fast! To top it off, I even got paid!" Aaron Brooks - "What is your suggestion?" Dunta Robinson - "Play me Rick!" Pugs
