Great plan and I sincerely mean that. I think most people are in agreement in what needs to take place in order to get our education system back up to speed with other countries.

Theoretically speaking if the government pumps a truckload more money into the education system (which they have done recently) and the path still continues to shift away from your plan and instead goes towards their own sense of a successful education plan, would you still feel justified in how your taxes are being spent? Or would you like to see some options and ultimately have one of the options take shape where efficiency is at the forefront and your sense of a good education system can take place because 8 levels of bureaucracy aren't swallowing the money whole?

It's hard to judge a system where there are few choices for people because comparing stats ultimately leads one to believe that the distinct difference is the demographics of the student populace. With more options in close proximity with diametric ways of approaching education, one can distinctly see a difference especially if they're allowed the freedom to steer away from a universal plan.

Luckily in Houston, even if I don't live in an area with a good school district, there are magnet schools out there for whenever I do hopefully have children.
