Right, so what's your point? Yes, Kobe is cocky but he has a right to speak like that since he's a champion. Haters will be haters but you have to admit the Lakers are still the ones to beat.

This the guy whos always criticizing his teammates for crappy support to him and his GM for not putting together a good team for him and asks for a trade on national radio? The Lakers should not have won last year. This year, Bryant looks every bit his age so I wouldn't put my money on the Lakers.

Don't get the hate....unless you've always hated him. He's just being himself...I personaly like his apathetic demeanor. What he means is haters are gonna hate, and he could care less.
Kobe acts so fake in the press conferences. Like he's trying to push his apathetic nature and ends up looking like a jackass. If he really didn't care, he'd pass on the question, or not say something that sparks up a news story dedicated to it.

I like this. Old-School. All these people and media that are criticizing him for this and would prefer the PC, emotionless, unquotable, packaged response annoy the hell out of me.
I was fine with the comments up until the thing about June. It's fine to be confident, but I really do not appreciate arrogance/over-boldness. That's the kinda thing that has always irked me (and a lot of people) about Kobe. Maybe he really doesn't care. Whatevs. Doesn't make him any less of an ass. More, if anything. Either way, I respect what he said about ignoring critics of the Lakers recent play. It's probably a critical skill when you're in the spotlight to be able to ignore a lot of naysayers... But good god do I hope the Fakers are not holding the trophy again this June.
