It was mainly because of Stevie. Terence has played good in 2 games. He has sucked in all of the other games that he has played in. He doesn't deserve to start. Kenny does.

See, I just don't believe that hype ...as good as Steve is, and considering we have only 2 picks a year in the draft, Rudy isnt going to draft a player just cause hes a member of Steve's posse

I agree that he may have made his feeling known to Rudy. But I'd like to think that Rudy could care less who any of his players think he should draft.

If Rudy were like that, just to appease Hakeem, he would have had a whole bunch of player's from Hakeem's alma mater like Larry Micheaux, Carl Herrera, Clyde Drexler, Sam Mack ...........................hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I apologize for ever doubting that theory. :p

Kenny is playing great and so is TMO. I agree that Kenny should start over TMO. He is a proven veteran. Kenny v. Rice is a more interesting question.

However, if TMO's play keeps up, TMO may be one of the first players off the bench. He was a rookie last year and it is great to hear that his practices are going great and to see that the improvement shown in practice finds it way to the court. Some players, like Langi, seem to show little or no improvement from one year to the next (summer leaque play notwithstanding).

If he does keep this up then he deserves to get good minutes, but not to start. I doubt that he will keep playing like this. It's just 2 games.

Good point. Cato has yet to duplicate that amazing preseason game for which he was rewarded with his current (hugh) contract. But while TMO's performance in two preseason games does not necessarily mean we will see consistent and improved regular season play, I am encouraged.

You know what the good thing about all this is? Potential and learning curves notwithstanding, our starters for the future are about set with Griffin, Ming, Mobley and Stevie. Morris could grap that SF spot one day. Rice probably doesnt have much left and wont be around much longer, and who knows if KT will be around after this season. That leaves Morris and Nachbar.

With our starters being set, Rudy will have less pressure to draft an impact player out of the draft. Instead, I bet you he starts gearing his drafts towards finding great shooters to come of the bench to maximize the double teams that Yao may receive.

    Im exicted about our future.

I agree with that. I just don't think that he should start this year. Maybe in the future he'll deserve it.

I think the best player should start and if that player is TMo then TMo should start, if that player is KT then KT should start. However, I get the feeling that Rice expects to start regardless of who plays the best. I personally think Rice should come off of the bench.

To me, Morris is just another bonus in a long line of good news we've had in this long offseason. I'm not trying to belittle Morris, only say that when it rains, it pours. Can I get an Amen!

I agree that the best player should start. Kenny is the best SF on the team.

Morris is the guy that we need to start on this team. Rice and KT would be better served as offensive weapons on the 2nd unit. Morris gives us defense, rebounding, and passing which are all things our otherwise offensive starters need to give us better continuity. I haven't gotten to see the Rox this year, but KT had better have added a lot to his repertoire if he is going to start at the 3. To be honest I would rather see either Morris or Rice starting then KT.:D

Thomas is a better scorer, defender, and rebounder. Terence played terrible during one whole season, and now he has played good in just 2 games and you are ready to move him as a starter. Remember when Cato played good in the preseason? Now look at him. The best SF on the team is Kenny, therefore he should start. TMo hasn't proved anything yet.

Look I'm happy to see Morris playing well but lets not get carried away. People say Rice only scores, well he does it as well as anybody in the league when he has it working. He slashes to the basket well and is doing that again now that he's healthy, he has a post-up game, he hits FTs, and most importantly he's a veteran who knows how to finish games strong and he showed that against San Antonio T-Mo is versatile, which is the perfect weapon to have off the bench. With a talented big man like Ming in the middle, that means Rice will see a ton of open shots.

T-Mo played very good in last years pre-season games. Then he sucked all of last years regular season. Dejavu anyone?

tmo has never played this well and that includes last preseason. his shot is very smooth and he seems confident in it. since it's only been 2 games i'm not giving him a starting job over kenny or glen but it's very nice to have him fighting for it. imo, kenny has looked just as good if not better than tmo, however less is said because it's what we expect.

Good points, I agree. TMo is on the active roster now and fighting for more PT. I think a rotation of Rice, KT, TMo, MT, EG is good for team defense and will wear down opposing teams. Make it a point to get your 5-10 minute stretch and push hard on both ends knowing you are going to get a breather.

This is TMo's contract year. He has to show something or he won't be playing next year. I would be happy if he could do this during the regular season.

Every year there is some one that plays really well in preseason and we all think "wow, its going to be fun watching this guy." Then come the regular season, that player does not play.

We said it a few years back about Langhi, we said it last year about Torres, and this year its T Mo.

Don't expect him to play in front of Rice or Thomas. The more likely scenario is that early he will split time with Boki (maybe 5 min per game) and then by the end of the season he will be an after thought (just like Torres last year).
