Always feels great to beat the Jazz, even though it hurts our lottery chance.

Thankfully, K-Mart caught that pass off the curl in the paint. He was either held by the defender or that was a poor pass from Battier.

    But hey, a win's a win, right?

Rockets record is very unfair.....Rockets are far better than what the Record says, the team was very unlucky so far....I hope there's still time to fix it....

And not being a homer....remeber recent games against Spurs and Rockets, top NBA teams.....

I remember also former games against Spurs, against the Bulls, and several others....

Rockets is more than a mediocre team, too much bashing by their own fans is unfair, IMO.

Why are the "tank" supporters happy about this win?

As much as fans want the Rox to tank for a higher draft position, no fan enjoys watching the team lose. There is a difference between supporting a legitimate strategy and enjoying the actual execution of said strategy. We don't always do what we like in life. Fans are fans because they love and support their team.

I hate how all the media outlets are stating the "undermanned" Jazz losing to the Rockets. uh.. ok.

Any real fan of this team will root for this team to win especially when the play like they have against the Lakers and Jazz, and especially when they are playing those two particular teams. Who doesn't want their team to win, especially when they are giving it their all?

The posters who support tanking or giving the young guys minutes to get better are doing so in resigned way that this team would lose these games no matter what or they would not show true Rocket's heart while playing.

Is proud the really operative word?

I mean are you really "proud" when you kill a cockroach or squat a mosquito?

You expect the Rockets to beat Utah, and want them to do so at all times because they are Utah. But no matter the result, as fan you just feel dirty and icky having played them at all as well as glad you don't have them buzzing or scurring around you mocking you if didn't win.

Most starters on most teams are role players. Starters who are not role players are superstar players. Being a role player does not mean you are not good or important, nor does it mean you only come off the bench. It just means you cannot consistently take a team on your shoulders and will them to the playoffs, series win, etc.

Scola needs to stop this...just makes you go WTF was he thinking. Lucky it wasn't called.

He never thinks the refs will call him for a foul, but always believes he'll be fouled

“Shane was the quarterback right there and I was the wide receiver and I was in triple coverage,” Martin said of the winning play. “It was just like the Giants when they beat the Patriots (in Super Bowl). Shane made a great pass and that was the only place he could have put it, and I just threw something up and it went in.”

Crazy out of control play that worked... Small miracle in a bad season so far. But any win against the Jazz is good, especially in Salt Lake C. Reminded me of a college game in some ways.

They're missing a couple of players (one borderline superstar) they usually have. What's the problem?

I think the point being that the Rockets have an $18,000,000 hole in the lineup named Yao Ming. A healthy Yao Ming would have made the Rockets a top 3/4 team in the West etc etc.

Of course, Yao's been out so much that now it's easier for the media not to call the Rockets undermanned. The next time someone finds Yao, it'll be Zach de la Steroids from "Ghost Adventures" playing back Yao's recorded phantasm voice: "I'll be back next year."

I would have bought the Yao excuse last year but Yao wasn't expected to be a GREAT center this season even if healthy however still a loss, no doubt. Utah was expecting to have the top PGuard in the league and without him, it's pretty obvious they are a below average team...heck even with him they looked average at best.

Yup, just like when we lost to the Lakers the headline read, "Bynum-less Lakers hold off Rockets in OT." Like somehow the Bynum-less Lakers were an underdog to these Houston Rockets. Bahaha.

funny thing was I wasn't even thinking about Yao... hell our whole damn team has been in and out of the IR all season long. We lost all of our centers. (not counting the chuck wagon) Not sure how that's not considered undermanned.

As Phil Jackson would say.. "Give the Rockets some ****ing credit"
