Just give Memphis Ish Smith, Jeffries, and a second round pick for Gay, Gasol, Mayo, and Thabeet. I checked ESPN the salaries totally match.
Thabeet would be a good player to take a long look at. He might be a bust, but he is still probably worth it.

After getting roasted by the media fo the Gasol trade I would imagine they'd only do a deal that helps them to save some face. In other words, an offer of Jeffries won't get it done.
They should take relatively little back since basically Courtney Lee and Hill are similar players to Thabeet and Mayo. Mayo has had some recent trouble lately and so his stock is falling. Perhaps even throw in one more guy and it gets done pretty easily.
Mayo by himself is worth more than Lee, Hill and a second rounder combined. Remember just because the salaries match up doesn't mean the team would accept the trade.
If Thabeet and Mayo got in a fight I'm curious to know what having both of them on the squad would do for the team chemistry. It doesn't seem likely that it would be a good thing. Moreover, if Memphis is actively trying to trade Thabeet and NOT Mayo over this then I'm wondering what makes you think that they'd be willing to part with both of them.
Thabeet wasn't in the fight. The fight was between Mayo and Tony Allen. The Grizzlies are just trying to trade Thabeet.
