We got owned on the boards, Gasol got 16 rebs and Odom got 20 rebs. This just shows you how desperately we need a true center.

I can't believe that even a C like Dalembert (defensive and on very tradeable) could not be gotten....

Dalembert is a short term solution. The only reason DM would have to compel him to trade for such a player is if we get a superstar this season and are looking for a bandage solution at C for a couple of years. With the way this team is headed, there is no POINT to getting him.

Lakers were just too tall for us this time. Even Scola's beast mode wasn't enough.

Why why why can't Jared Jeffries get a few minutes?!?!? Why? I can see twill nit playing when we have 4 guards but Jeffries is way better than hill to start with. The hill gets hurt and we still don't play him?

I missed the game but I find it mind boggling that only Kevin Martin gets FTs. Especially considering the way Scola and Brooks play you would figure they would pick up some fouls driving to the hoop.

Yes, but he was only to be used in an emergency...he is still recovering.

Brooks NEVER draws a lot of fouls. That is the thing about him that could be better. He needs to learn to use his speed to draw fouls on the defense.

I was at the game (sec 117 row 6) and watched him penetrate and just dribble through the lane. That last TO he made was crucial. Drove baseline and didn't have any options... I have seen that play from him a lot late in games. Same results. Like I have always said about Brooks. I his outside shot is not going in, he does nothing else to help the team. No using his speed to get assists, steals, or drawing fouls.... Im ok with that if he is the 6th man off the bench and just comes in to shoot. He probably needs to be playing with a inside scorer on the floor with him.

Watching the rerun on NBAtv right now. When we were up 68 to 63 we made some really bad mistakes possession after possession. It started with that ridiculous lob pass from Lowry off the backboard. Our offense was rushing to make a shot even with 20 seconds on the shot clock. And Kobe's layup that Chuck interfered with was clearly coming off the rim, it was a missed shot but Chuck turned it into 2 points for the Lakers by touching it.

And of course Kobe should have been ejected for throwing that elbow but gets away with it as usual. Ariza was ejected last year for throwing an elbow that didn't connect.

    Fixed for you.
To be a ball hog you need to got Balls
The only way you can get blame for a loss if is you have the balls to take the shoots under pressure.
Maybe AB is not a great closer, but is the only one who got the balls to step up in the clutch.

They did, as did others. Those fouls were simply not called. Why? Ask Mr. Stern. :-(-

team has guys who dont mind taking pressure shots besides brooks...scola and shane come to mind (yes shane) the problem is the guy with the ball needs to be able to show confidence in passing it and running the play instead of having to iso all the time. Brooks played poorly in OT, honestly felt he should have been on the bench and had a lineup of Lee, Martin, Shane, Luis and Chuck out there in OT.

I give major props to Miller he had this blonde girl (seem like she was like older teenager/early 20s) next to him screaming and jumping up and down and going crazy every single made laker basket from 5 mins left in the 4th onwards. It was annoying to me and I was like 50-60 feet away I could only imagine how Brad felt. (if she was of legal age he probably though, girl I'll give you something to cheer about after the game sit your ass down for now though)

there are several guys that need to be gone from this team and soon hell at this point i think getting back lesser talent in return would be fine just think that they are becoming more of a danger in the lockeroom and on the floor than anything else and preventing others from playing that could do this team actual good.

Looked like Brooks had a pretty sweet assist to Scola at the end of regulation.

That was a well drawn up play. The lakers were overplaying the 3 pt shot in that situation.

He should do that A LOT more...

Look, I like brooks but you cant sit here and tell me he uses his speed in other ways besides just to get his 3 pt or outside shot off. A guy with speed like that should be able to get a couple of steals during the game or break down the defense and get one of the bigs rotating over to help on his drive to foul him. I mean something! Maybe he will figure that out one day and add it to his game. Like T Parker.

Ronnie Nunn says that it was NOT goal-tending. The refs made the call incorrectly.

I just watched the Making the call yesterday where he said that the perpendicular line is what the ref is supposed to be watching. Since the ball was already partially below the rim it's a no call.
