while i respect that shaq is accepting his role, i definitely feel like he can contribute more than he has been

Well this is most likely Shaq's last season. Let's just enjoy it. We may never see a player quite like him again.

The best part about this is Shaq's right: he'll still be the MDE personality even after retirement. Chris Webber and Barkley are just warming the mike until he's ready to take over.

no fan of his, but he definitely has the right attitude. i also think he can do more, but obviously must not be efficient doing it.

don't really watch shaq or the celtics, but does he not have the ability to just back his man down anymore?

He has the weight and power, but not the agility he once had. Without the quasi-finesse moves, the refs aren't allowing his bulldozing anymore.

He wants to be on a contender no matter what, but imagine him on with Houston. He would still be useful no doubt.
