Bball tip in rule question

    Pickup game question. If you got up to tip in a high pass, but only succeed in tipping it forward, can you catch your tip since it didnt hit basket?

    You actually did have control if you tipped it. If you would have been fouled while tipping it, you would have gotten two free throws. It is not travelling because you never came down to the ground with possesion.
