We probably already know this, but here's the latest on Lewis. From the Sporting News SEATTLE -- Rashard Lewis has told the Seattle SuperSonics he plans to return to the team. The 6-10 forward became a restricted free agent July 1, and general manager Wally Walker has said signing Lewis is a top priority. The Sonics reportedly have between $3.5 million and $4 million to offer Lewis under terms of the NBA collective bargaining agreement. Walker has said he would be willing to trade a veteran to clear more salary cap room. Lewis averaged 15.4 points and 6.2 rebounds a game in the Sonics' five-game losing effort against the Utah Jazz in the first round of the playoffs. Lewis, who turns 21 Aug. 8, has played his first two seasons with the Sonics since being drafted in the second round out of his Houston high school in 1998. I suppose the Raptors now have Croshere as their number one and Cuttino as their close second. I'm still into these rumors concerning Toronto, despite what that Rockets official told one of our BBS members. It's all up the following now: 1) Croshere 2) Chicago Jeff, I read your post and I think that you are in the wrong by laughing at them at this point. If they do sign a free agent and Croshere decides to bolt (as I mentioned in my other post), Cuttino will stay a Rocket! ------------------ Nederland 2002 Qualifying Campaign (Damn those penalties!!!)
