I know people who work for the Rockets as ball boys and people who catch the rebounds during the shootarounds and they tell me Terrence Williams isn't getting the system at all. Thats why he never sees the court and won't anytime soon unless he figure out the Rick Adelman offense.

I think Twill will end up like GWall. A great player with lots of potential who just cant get Rick Adelmans offense. Twill will be an allstar somewhere else where the offense isn't so difficult.

    Thoughts?

what a stupid post that adds nothing to the discussion.

In response to the OP, then Adelman needs to go. His system needs to be adapted to.

    Not everyone can "get" everything.

Why, he arguably has one of the best offensive systems in the league. The roxkets are 4th in the league, and outside of scola and martin, have some holes in that department ( at least in the starting lineup ). Everyone makes a big deal about bbiq, but as soon as your favorite player " doesn't get it" you're ready to run out an outstanding coach.

And I'm willing to bet that if chase hadn't found his shot ( he works really well in this offense btw ), twill would have more minutes. He has several people ahead of him at all three positions he can play.

Why is it the Coach's fault the player is too stupid to learn the system.

Did Kobe go, O my the triangle is too hard to learn, I give up

The best coaches can adapt to players. As Bruce Lee says, be like water. Adapt. Being rigid is just a sign of getting old.

Adelman was one of the best coaches ever. Just like Larry Brown was. Not so much now as time and age catch up to your coaching methods. You have to learn to change and adapt to new surroundings and environments.

He still is. Do you honestly think anyone else would do better with this team. So he is supposed to change a system that everyone else on the team gets and seems comfortable in( not to metion its proven to extremely effective ) for one unproven player? Thank god you aren't coaching this team. He has changed and adapted to a team that has been almost constantly gutted by injuries. You're clueless if you can't see that he has done a pretty damn good job with the cards he has been dealt

Maybe. If he gets any time on the court!

This is nothing new, but it's time to put TWill in the rotation. The 3 minutes I saw in San Antonio (courtside) were good enough to show me that he's a good player. He may have not shot well (0/3 if I remember correctly), but he got a steal and found open players.

Do ballboys even get to go to the practices. If not, then this is pure speculation.

So whats the big deal? Williams can't comprehend the offense, Adelman can't comprehend defense. It all evens out. Mwuahahah.

He is a good preparations coach, but a horrible game coach. He fails to call time outs when momentum shifts, fails to sub in or swap players when defensive or offensive match ups fail, and fails to understand that when someone is hot, you leave them in instead of taking them out. RA needs to get with the problem otherwise God I hope he gets fired.

I can see this, I remember Bobby Jackson mentioning how it takes up to 2 years for a player to learn the system. I don't think it's about T-Will as much as it is about the system itself.

Did Wallace not get pt in Sacramento because of the system or because the Sacramento team was pretty deep?

Adelman's system takes time to understand. Thats one of the reasons they brought in brad miller; to help the team as well as help others on the team understand the system better in practice.

On the other hand, if the effort from Terrence is not showing through in practice, then I think he just has a big ego and is unwilling to learn.
