I put the Beck CD on repeat for about 3 1/2 hours while playing Madden 2000 on the Playstation (yeah I know I need to get a PS2, but please refer to my sig). Talk about a great CD. I hated it at first and thought it was waaaaaaaay to mellow for Beck, but it really has been growing on me. So in conclusion, you should listen to a CD about 10 times before you decide that you hate it and put it up on Ebay.
I know I know I know...... I faxed out 10 resumes yesterday, and decided to treat myself to a little Madden playoffs as the Broncos destroyed the Eagles in the super bowl 42-10. Hey do you guys have anything for PT Warehouse work? Thats something I wouldnt mind doing in the meantime......
Aren't there some part-time agencies that handle that? I did that for a couple months right out of grad school.
Drewdog...u still in austin? townepark valet...worked there for 3 months before i moved to seattle. they are always hiring. all you need is a clean driving record. excellent pay. and depending on which hotel you go to ill probably know the manager.
Have you tried a temp agency? It gives you part time work (sometimes full time), job experience, references, etc. A lot of companies use this as a recruiting tool as well -- if they like temps, they hire them. If not, they'll ask for another. You might even find a job in your field.
Im almost to the point where I need to take a PT job just so I wont go broke. I may be able to make it through November, but its going to get kind of rough.......
Drew, temp agancies work great to keep money coming in till you find something better...the 2 times I used em I got some warehouse work and the second time I got some temp wiring work(stringing network lines)..Doesnt pay real great, but anything is better than unemployment...good luck man..
As Drew knows, I recruit for a temp agency here in Austin and I can tell you, work is scarce. Drew, I don't have any PT work, but I am working on a couple of orders: 1. Windows 2000 Installer/Tech - reqs: knowledge of W2K installation process, registry editing, detecting errors in scripts and rewriting them. 10 week assignment, must be flexible to work any shift. good pay 2. Outbound Lead Generation/Sales - various accounts some that require technical/networking exp, some just sales. these are hardcore sales positions. temp to hire with avg-decent pay. 3. This one sounds like fun. A one day assignment on 10/26 where you get to dress up as a foot for a Dr. Scholls promo during the UT football game. I need someone that is at least 5'6". Hours from 2pm to 6-630pm. $10
