Shane gets bashed a lot on this Forum, but the guy has things in perspective. That team last year was a lot of fun to watch and inspiring with their game. I would hate to think where the Rockets would be without Shane.

He says things in perceptive. He is the 2nd best defender behind Chuck and that's fine. The rest of the team doesn't do much on defense, but he gets a lot of slack when he comes up with uninspiring performances.

In before the "Battier is a professional and leader, I hope he retires a rocket". Speech like that is bound to wet his fans.

Martin tells it like it is and Battier would give you false moral just like a true politician

Houston is closing in on more than 100 player games lost to injury this season, extending a triple-digit streak that extends back to at least 2003-04. Six times over the last seven years, the franchise has eclipsed 150 and three times crossed 200

That bit was interesting, I thought we would have at least one season that wasn't obliterated by injuries.

Seems like the players still have a good attitude. Amazing, since mgmt views them mainly as "assets", and not players.

This has pretty much been the case for what - the last 5 years now. One injury after another. How much longer can we keep up like this?

    Killing me.

You're clueless, that's not just Yao. Even not including Yao that's been true for 5/7 seasons.

I know what you mean. I'm realy getting tired of reading the "what if" articles, or the "outwork everyone but still loose" articles.

I just cant belive he didnt get a solid back up for Yao in all these years. Although DeKe was 1st class - he was 40 years old and wanted to retire soon. We hardly used him the during the playoffs. And when he did retiree it was back to 6'6 Chuck Hayes.

Now if anyone is being asked to play out of his comfort zone its Hayes. And he took it on as a challenge head on. Please stop using that excuse for Brooks and Hill.

I just think Morey had over whelming evidence for the last 3 yeasr to suggest Yao needs a better back up then Chuck Hayes.
