Will they be able to get free agents in the near future ?

It's Cleveland , nobody relevant goes there Brah !!!

Lot of $$$ will bring a tier 1 free agent pretty soon :)

    No effect ?

    Other opinions?

They can only dig themselves out with great drafts in the near future....

No effect. That franchise does not look attractive. I guess it depends on what Free Agent you are talking about. I don't see any big time FA signing their anytime soon. Their biggest hope for a turnaround is to find a stud in the draft and build around that guy just like Lebron. Of course it's not that easy to find a guy like Lebron though.

So all in all I think their only hope for the future is to have a draft pick turn into a stud.

The Cavs are a poorly run franchise. Their destiny as a sinkhole was assured before Snyder's comments last summer.

Sorry management/ownership + backwater NBA city = patheticness

LeBron's time with the Cavs was just a temporary anchor against the tide.

Dan Snyder: Redskins owner. But I can see how you would confuse the two. Very meddlesome owners who are completely inept and and should leave the decisions of personnel to the GMs.

Cavs will stay as competitive as they were pre-Lebron for a looooong time.

Can't agree with that. One great draft pick can change a franchise around.

They were a poor drafting franchise for years. LeBron was the consensus #1 pick.

They made such great lottery choices as Langdon, Wagner, Luke Jackson and Diop, while passing up high potential guys like Amare Stoudemire, Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, Al Jefferson, Ron Artest, Corey Maggette, and Kirilenko.

They made great moves like trading Andre Miller in a 1-for-2 deal to get Darius Miles and Harold Jamison, not exercising the team option on Boozer for less than $1 mil.

Many people forgot the Cavs poor drafting and personnel moves, after LeBron came to the Cavs.

LeBron would probably say contraction if he knew what it meant.
