There's a reason a guy who averages 11+ boards and 3+ blocks per 36 minutes doesn't actually PLAY 36 minutes. Sam Dalembert has terrible hands, can't pass under pressure, is an awful PnR defender, and is constantly getting called for 3 sec violations. Not someone worth giving up any value for. Now Jason Thompson, on the other hand...
You want to trade Yao for Dalembert!? I know Yao isn't playing, but his impact on the Rockets is HUGE. The amount of money he brings in payes for half the teams contracts.
I know... I was just trying to tell what it might take. They want Brooks... We will give them JJ for sure.... since we will ask for Landry in return, we will have to give up either Hill/Pat.. I chose hill.. I am not saying its good trade or bad trade.... I am just telling what it might take.
dalembert + garcia + sacramento's 2011 draft pick for aaron brooks + brad miller + yao ming + chase budinger
Jason Thompson is even worse. I guess Dalembert would be ok, If you can get him for absolutely nothing. I am hoping for a hell of a lot more. Marcin Gortat, for instance, is far, far superior.
no way Phoenix is letting him go. I'd like to see we get Nash and Robin Looez from them and dalembert from sacramento
As an experienced internet forum poster, I believe I am more than able to solve the problem. 1. We trade Brad Miller and 2119 second round pick to Orlando and get Dwight Howard in return. I am sure a quick call to Rich DeVos would nail it. While I am reluctant to give up a second round pick, Howard is a decent center and after getting acclimated to the Rockets' intricate offenses and defenses he will starting for us by the end of the year, just in time for the playoffs. 2. I believe we need a true point guard. Therefore if we package Ish Smith and two free tickets to the 2012 Houston Clutchfans Draft Party we can get Chris Paul from New Orleans. Next year we sign Kevin Durant and we are done All kidding aside, I recommend a much better Center than Dalembert, they really carry the team and make even a poor wing player look great. I'm sick of stop-gaps like Brad Miller and Brent Barry on this team.
But i don't see the need to throw in hill...Dalembert can be acquired through expirings in a separate deal, so you'd basically trade brooks for landry, which is more than fair for them, no need to give up Hill too. They already have JT and Cousins, so they won't be in need of a PF either. i dont think he planned on losing yao and being below .500 at this point either.... It's not like Houston would need to trade actual young talent for him. All they want is expirings. JJ's contract will be wasted as an asset, if no trade is done by the deadline.
my bet is on no major trade happens. a small trade to get under the lux tax and thats it. les is not willing to spend.
so why would they trade dalembert's 13million expiring, for jeffries 7million and taking on contracts with fillers. on the flip side, knowing adelman, chuck hayes will get the bulk of the minutes at center leaving dalembert with probably less minutes than what hes getting now in sac. dalembert will wind up signing with another team this summer, and its back to square one.
