I want Mayo and Curry. Mayo's trade value is dropping, get him along with Thabeet. I wonder if Udoh could be had along with Curry. Udoh is all about defence just like Thabbet. Curry/Smith Mayo/???? T-Will/???? PPat/Hayes Thabeet/Udoh
Well the way thinks look another fourth quarter featuring T-Will and Patterson. Really ready to see some changes made but it's going to be a long wait before the deadline gets here. Maybe we'll find out what direction the teams going to go moving forward by then.
Man, seeing a chump like Tyson Chandler killing us might be the last straw for me. Our need for a quality defensive center has officially reached desperation level.
Okay, I admit if a trade like this went down, I'd be a little upset but I would understand that it upgrades us talent-wise. We would have a completely different team and I honestly think this trade is beneficial to all. Very complicated two part trade goes like this: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=48jyu8a Outgoing:Brooks Incoming:Carl Landry, OJ Mayo No picks involved. How does this happen? In return for OJ Mayo who is having a nightmare season over in Memphis, they get from us Aaron Brooks and from the Cavaliers they get Anderson Varejao. In return for Landry who is also having a bad season in Sacramento they get Mo Williams from Cleveland. In return for Mo Williams and Varejao, the Cavs get Zach Randolph who is having a monster season. Why does this happen? Memphis will not be resigning Zach this off season. They can't afford to while keeping Marc Gasol. OJ has been a huge distraction for the team as well and Tony Allen has been playing solid this season. Getting Varejao would help Memphis overcome the loss of Randolph while Brooks at least gives them the option to try and resign him if they don't keep Gasol for some reason. Either way, it should be easier to keep Brooks than it would be to resign Randolph. Sacramento will finally get the starting level PG they are looking for in Mo Williams for a disgruntled Landry. A solid no brainer deal for them. Cavaliers get instant help this season and the only player that is even close to an allstar level that they have a chance at while helping them move quicker into total rebuilding mode. The only thing they'll be giving up are two players that are currently injured and are likely to be moved anyways. I'm sure they would prefer to move Varejao and Williams for an allstar but let's be honest. No star is going to Cleveland. Not anytime soon. Time to draft smart Cavs. The problem we'd have after this trade though is we would still have no center and we'd still have a glut of redundant talent. Enter phase two of my plan... http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=45fo7g9 Outgoing:Martin, Scola, Jeffries, Budinger Incoming:Favors, Murphy, G. Wallace NY2012 + Hou2014 First Rounders to Charlotte Jersey 2012 to Houston How and why does this happen? In return for Gerald Wallace the Bobcats will get an expiring in Jeffries a young talent in Budinger and two first round draft picks. This is everything that the Bobcats were looking for in a possible Wallace trade. They may have wanted a little more talent back but they can't argue with getting two first rounders. In return for Derrick Favors and Troy Murphy Jersey will get two players they have reportedly coveted in Martin and Scola. We will also take back a first of theirs. This deal was rumored to be shopped to the Rockets already and I am a fan of it. We would get that player we may someday be able to build around and they get instantly better. Murphy, while being serviceable, is only included to make money work and is expiring. Houston roster after trade: Kyle Lowry OJ Mayo Gerald Wallace Chuck Hayes Derrick Favors Terrence Williams/Ishmael Smith Courtney Lee Shane Battier Carl Landry/Patrick Patterson Brad Miller/Jordan Hill Bench fodder: Troy Murphy Yao Ming A much more balanced roster, though young, and much MUCH better defensively. What do you think?
I'd love these trades to go down.. NETS/ ROCKETS: Nets get: Luis Scola, Chase Budinger & Jordan Hill + 2012 NY pick Rockets get: Derrick Favors & Travis Outlaw (bad contract) GRIZZLIES/ ROCKETS: Memphis get: Kevin Martin Rockets get: O.J. Mayo, Hasheem Thabeet & 2011 Mem 1st rd pick (unprotected)
2 trades that can turn this team around and make the playoffs this year: 1.) Brooks + Hill + Battier + Jefferies for Josh Smith + Bibby + Evans Hawks get a promising young PG to replace Bibby, Hill should compliment Horford well up-front, and Atlanta saves a tons of money. 2.) Yao for Landry + Dalember (both expiring) Dalember is on a contract year and complaining his role behind Cousins. Landry won't be back to Kings. the Kings simply trade 2 players they don't need to save $8min. on Yao's insured contract our line-up to push for 8th spot in the playoffs: Dalember, Hayes, Miller L. Scola, Landry, Patterson J. Smith, Budinger, Evans K. Martin, Lee, T-Will K. Lowry, Bibby, Ish J-Smooth is clearly an upgrade over Shane, offensively and maybe even defensively. Dalember is a defensive minded big man that we covet , he can easily gives you 12/12/3 every night. Brooks/Lowry situation is not working out, trade Brooks to up-grade other positions and still get a servicable pg who's familiar with Rick's system in Bibby. Landry will replace AB's clutchness in the 4th Q. and add more toughness. we'll be contender next year if DM can cash in our young talents (Patterson/T-Will/C-Bud/Lee) and picks to up-grade 1 of our starters to an all-star (CP3/Granger/Nash..)
Andrew Bogut Drew Gooden for Kevin Martin Jared Jeffries future 1st round pick. OJ Mayo for Jordan Hill Aaron Brooks Bogut / Miller / Hayes Scola / Gooden / PP Battier / Budinger / Twill Mayo / Lee Lowry / Smith
I like this idea alot. Even If we could just pull off the Atlanta part of the deal, we would be way better off.
My trade Rockets Trade: Aaron Brooks, Jordan Hill, Jared Jeffries, Shane Battier Rockets Get: Nene Hilario, Chris Andersen, Gerald Wallace Denver Trades: Nene Hilario, Chris Andersen Denver Gets: Jordan Hill, Jared Jeffries, Ariza Trade Exception Charlotte Trades: Gerald Wallace Charlotte Gets: Aaron Brooks, Shane Battier The Roster: C: Nene, Brad Miller PF: Luis Scola, Chuck, Patrick Patterson SF: Gerald Wallace, Chase Budinger, Terrence Williams SG: Kevin Martin, Courtney Lee PG: Kyle Lowry, Ish Smith This would be a super athletic and explosive team. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine
Why would they not do this deal? If they are going to trade Carmelo then they will be in rebuild mode. Nene is an expiring so they could get a young asset in Jordan Hill. Its also a way for them to dump salary.
Look at this way. Jordan Hill's shortcomings are being exposed tremendously every day. He is a limited "asset". No one wants him.
My 4 team trade involving us, Memphis, Indiana and Sacramento Rockets sent out Courtney lee to memphis C Bud to Indiana Yao to Sacramento Aaron to sacramento Rockets receive Thabeet Mayo Dalembert Paul George why we do this: get some height, sell high on aaron brooks before value drops, pick up a high potential player with paul george and possibly getting a one day all star in OJ Memphis: sends Mayo to Houston Thabeet to houston Randolph to Indiana receive: Courtney lee, Landry, Tj ford and Mike dunleavy why memphis does it: they know they cant re-sign Randolph and will have a hole at the 4 spot so they can get landry for cheaper than ZBo so why not retain his bird rights and have a younger 4. They replace OJ with a good 2 guard in Lee who can play defense and still have some offense but wont be required to put up big numbers. Let go of thabeet and he is killing their cap room to re-sign gasol because chances are teams are gonna overpay for him so memphis has to match or they look like a foolish franchise. memphis also picks up a pg whose expiring and could be re-signed for cheap and dunleavy's expiring helping in the gasol re-sign. Kings: receive Brooks and yao While sending out dalembert and landry. why kings do this? they really want brooks and get a giant expiring which is insured and save money. yes it seems like houston is getting killed in part of this deal but with all the other pieces rockets get and the risk of overpaying brooks not on our table it actually serves both teams well. IF need be a small contract from them could be taken, perhaps cassipi or Whiteside Pacers Send out. TJ ford, Mike dunleavy, paul george They receive: Zach Randolph, Chase bud Pacers do this because they have tons of expirings and really need front court help. They need a consistent 4 and Randolph would definately work. They are def going to keep hibbert but need another front court threat. They also get rid of paul george for a productive wing on a smaller scale rookie contract and get rid of dunleavy and TJ who has been a distraction. Rockets come out looking like Lowry/ish martin/mayo Battier/twill/paul george Scola/hayes Dalembert/thabeet/miller memphis conley/ford Clee/xavier/tony allen gay/sam young landry/darrel arthur gasol/hadadi kings brooks/udrih evans/garcia/taylor cassipi/d green jason thompson/darnell cousins/ Pacers collison/price rush/dahntay granger/bud randolph/hansbrough Hibbert/ foster i def think all teams do really well. what do yall think? wish we could squeeze a 1st rounder from kings for brooks but thats def not possible.
Portland looks to be active in trades this season. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/210389/Big_Changes_On_The_Way_For_Trail_Blazers They have pieces that are really nice for us. we need a C and a better SF. They need youth and more scoring. Houston get: Przybilla Batum A.Johnson. Portland gets: Shane Hill C.Lee +pick Houston does this because Batum is an up and coming star, his numbers have been fantastic since Roy went down. He is the scoring wing that would go perfect with martin. Houston needs a Center in the post and Johnson is just a filler. This also would give us a go with Williams Lowry/AB Martin/William Batum/Bud Scola/Ppat Priz/Miller/Chuck Portland does this because they have conveted Shane for a long time. This would bolster their Primeter D. Hill is young and can give Aldridge a relief. CLee is atheletic and can play the SG/PG and has major hops. Which would give them a dynamic back court Portlands Line up: Miller/Mills Matthews/Fernandez/Roy Battier/CLee/Cunningham Alridge/Hill Camby/Oden
