I don't want Hayes going anywhere after this season. I only hope he doesn't ask for too much money limiting our payroll to get a star or good free agent to build a contender. Really, he is looking like the ideal backup big man and is the kind of guy a you can win a championship with, with the right stars around him. The Wildcat Offense? (or The Wildcat Defense, depending how they're playing?)
Your definition of fun is strange. I definitely would not call the 4th fun. Yeah, the clips only made 10 pts but they're still the clippers and not the lakers. or the heat. or the magic, etc. What if shane hadn't hit that three and they made half of those poiint blank layups? It would have been wayy too close. Pat and hayess or scola and hayes or hill and hayes...none of these are a good combination.
Granted, none are a starting combination on a contending team. For this team, they were fun to watch tonight. Against better competition that can exploit our lack of size at the rim, I imagine it wouldn't be nearly as fun. Fair point.
They work well for rebounds, that's the number one reason I'd like to see patterson get more pt over hill. Hill just doesn't seem to care to box out.
Two guys just going out there doing what's asked and then some. Totally appreciate getting to watch Hayes and 2Pat.
Hayes and Patterson is the best 2-way front line that we have on this current team. I really think Scola is being dangled by Morey. Can you imagine this lineup: Lowry Martin Melo Nene Hayes
Bye Bye rebounds...in the 4th quarter the starting center for the other team will get 123456789098765432345643 rebounds.
If some of you have short memories a lot of Clutch fans hated Chuck the first 1 to 2 years because he was a human foul machine. He had to go through a learning process just like Hill has to now. I don't think Hill will ever be really good unless he learns to keep his motor running for the full 4 qts of the game and learn to study film like Chuck does. Say did anybody notice near the end of the game during a tine out Chuck reach over and cradle the back of Brooks head twice. It looked like he was consoling Brooks but what he was telling AB if you mess up and make more bad decisions I'm going to crush your skull like its a peanut shell little fella! I also notice near the end of the game after Chuck man-handled him Griffin was shaking his head and talking to himself he realized he had been abused and run over by a chuck wagon. Griffin had a learning experience tonight.
I was just going to say that. Chuck had a hard time staying on the floor because of fouls. I think a lot of it had to do with chuck learning how to stay on the floor and the other part was the refs had to learn how chuck plays. There's not many guys out there that can take the ball out of Duncan, Amare, KG, and etc hands like Chuck does.
I like it ,especially from a defensive standpoint........Plus Pat has a decent offensive game 15ft from the basket which really helps. I would continue to use this combo against tough front court players if I were RA.....IT IS WRITTEN.
The things that came to mind when I read the thread title: 1. Fried Chicken? 2. ...the South Shall Rise Again? 3. Some kinda funky sex position that Steve Francis and Cuttino invented??? Girls: "Hey, we're over here" Franchise: "Hush, b****, we're doing a Kentucky Frontline." Cuttino: "mmph!"
