I am very willing to move Jordan Hill, one less project. With Udrih in and Brooks out, we would always have a pass first pg in the game. Also, we could play the two together at times just as we did with Brooks/Lowry. I def think that Brooks is better than Udrih, and the Kings probably do too, hence a draft pick for our troubles.

We really need a big, rim-protector. That is so key. Of all the available guys, I like Okafor the most.

Yet the best players always make the game. They are not popularity contest, only when it comes to the starting 5 which usually happens to be the 5 best players in each conference any ways.

Okay no all-star games? Lets talk about all NBA appearances then, even go down to 3rd team All NBA. None, no appearances.

Those guys aren't superstars and some of them have not accomplished what Martin is who is about the same level (borderline all-star) as those players.

I also doubt Wallace, Granger, Iggy are going to get any better than what they are. They may play better in a certain type of system though.

I'll give you that guys like Curry and Derozan could develop into more but so could some of the guys we have on our team like Patterson or Williams, but there is no guarantee of that.

Yao completely kills your argument about it not being a popularity contest. Those players are much more balanced than Kevin Martin. He plays no defense. I'd rather lose 5ppg if it meant getting 3 more rebounds and lowering our allowed points. Kevin Martin is nothing but a back up player and he wont get better. G-Force plays both sides, Granger plays both sides, Iggy plays both sides. I would trade him for one of them in a heartbeat. Why do you think the Kings gave him up so easily? Why do you think these other players are so hard to acquire? Because they are quality(All facets of the game) over quantity(scoring only). And to call Martin a borderline all star is laughable. He will never be an all star because he is so one dimensional.

Hayes for Landry, the contracts match up and we can get rid of any post defense whatsoever, and our transition to Golden State Central will be complete.

Wow, I still find it hard to believe why anybody listens to anything that you say. Why trade for Landry? To make the playoffs. Are you really that ignorant? And sign him in the offseason for free? Yeah, lets just tank the rest of the way and then sign Landry next year. I mean, The Rockets front office won't be busy or anything, what with deciding whether or not to re-sign Yao, Brooks, Hayes, or Battier...

Quite simply, getting Landry, a guy who should never have been traded to begin with, for next to nothing (Jordan Hill and Patterson) (I would give The Kings both), allows The Rockets to see if he still fits and can be effective with the current Rockets, as he clearly doesn't fit with the Kings. If he doesn't, it was a low risk move. If he does, it makes Morey look like a genius.

Only the smart people, you have nothing to worry about.

I want him on a new contract, but once he gets a little older than he can go too....

My old buddy! Refresh my memory: I could have sworn you used to be EXTREMELY anti-Scolandry since they (at the time whenever Chuck was still considered exclusively a 4) took minutes away from your boy. Now you're imploring us to reacquire Landry? Very interesting.

And there's nothing wrong with DD's logic here. Landry is either at or close to his ceiling whereas Hill and Patterson are both an open book. In fact, the only questionable logic being applied here is by you thinking Landry makes us a playoff team. This team doesn't need more offense and less defense.

If we bring him back or a considering to bring him back this season and not when he is a FA, it is obvious Scola will be gone.....which means a good player plus landry will come to Houston.... Carmelo may not want to be here but may end up here if we can squeeze NENE from the Nugz (ofcourse giving up scola AND possible Brooks for landry).....

    Lowry
    Martin
    Melo
    Landry
    Nene

I would love to see that lineup play for half a year , then S&T Melos butt to NY for picks, expirings and wilson chandler.....IT IS WRITTEN

Getting Landry would be pointless! We need to develop Patterson, I KNOW the guy can ball. Plus, Twill needs to get more time. Unless we're bringing in a shot changing big, we should avoid the trade.

I guess being one of the most efficient scorers in the past decade makes you a backup player. I mean seriously, CMON dude! The guy shoots 45, 40, and 90 in the percentages, gets you threes, gets to the free throw line more than anyone in the league, despite his shortcomings on defense, i think that puts him on the elite level. As for the Kings giving him up so easily... they are rebuilding, and had this guy who played the same position as him, rookie of the year Tyreke Evans

i think it would be better for us to get Carl Landry back and see him in a Rockets uniform. the only thing is, who would we have to give up in order to get him? if we do make a move we should do it as soon as possible before its too late so we can make a push for the playoffs. i guess we just have to wait and see what happens.

You, sir, are a moron. Jordan Hill & Patterson does not equal "next to nothing." Patterson is a baller and he has WAY more upside than Landry. Not to mention Landry DEFINITELY DOESN't get us into the playoffs. Next.
