Brooks missed shots, turnovers and bad defense are frustrating but the biggest indictment on him as a PG are what players are better playing with him? Not Martin, Lee, Hill, Bud, or Patterson. He has got to make those around him better on both ends of the floor.
Uh...I'm guessing that the locker room chemistry would beg to differ with you. I seriously fear that team chemistry is dying. Even off the court. Not having enough talent to win a game is one thing, but this is disturbing.
Instead of getting shots for Martin and Battier who were hot, Brooks decide to jack up 3s. Screw you Brooks.
Martin has been a very valuable player for this team. Particularly in the 4th. Him and Brooks should not be on the floor together in the 4th. Kyle runs our offense and sets up Martin for success, and plays D. Brooks does not brings those attributes. Brooks is most effective when we have D behind him, he is hitting his shot, and we spread the floor for him. Not exactly the recipe for a winning team, but can be effective in 18 minutes off the bench.
So you see it too, huh? Dude we know already, do you do anything else when watching the games other than whine about Brooks, must suck for you to watch the games. DD
Worried a little bit also. We know T-Will's not happy, but that doesn't concern me much. AB though is definitely not happy this year... he's staying quiet, but he's not. And to be honest, he did lose his starting gig due to injury in a contract year, so I can't say I blame him too much. I know we have to wait until the 24th, but this team of assets is starting to feel a bit overripe now. A lot of credit to the guys for a great offensive game, and this may sound like senseless complaining, but they gave up 125 points to Minnesota. You have to be concerned. The Rockets offense at this clip (nearly 50% from the field, 46.7% from 3P) is not sustainable game in, game out.
What an absolutely atrocious game. Even though we won this is EXACTLY what is wrong with our team and why we're 21-25. First quarter, yeah we put up a lot of points but anyone who watched the game saw Minnesota get just as many open looks as us, you would see our players pointlessly double teaming someone and them dishing out to get an open look. Rotations, I mean are you kidding? All season same **** has been happening and it seems there isn't even a slight improvement, I don't get if they just don't care or they're simply just useless at it. No one fights over the screen, i've seen our players just look at the basket before the shots even up. The whole season and how we can't close a game is still just an on-going, how much were we up by with 4 minutes to go? 16 or something like that, we're winning we have the game in control, Brooks loses his cool for no reason (a little slap in the face when fighting for a rebound? What do you think Chuck has to deal with all game?) and it extends and could of cost us the game. A win is a win sure and don't get me wrong i'm glad we won but against ANY other team in the league we would of had our asses handed to us tonight.
no one mentions kmarts 34? looks like we are all too comfortable with kmarts awesome scoring prowess 34 doesnt come easy
Having a dumbass who can't walk and chew gum at the same time and an alleged PG who burns the shot clock then chucks up the ball tend to kill a team's chemistry. I'd probably resent having to share the floor with these kind of players.
