This guy is better than any center we can ever find. Nene is choice!!! He is arguable on-par with Noah.
LOL at anyone who's saying "no thank you" to Nene. It seems like people here won't be satisfied with anything less than Dwight Howard. Yeah, keep hoping for that, people. He's a BIG body in the paint, and his defense, while not elite or anything, is still passable. If we'd like to strengthen the defense of our front line, then I'd be for moving Scola and getting PPatt or Hayes to play starting power forward. Scola's offensive skills aren't needed as badly with Nene there anyway. I mean, Nene has the highest field goal percentage in the NBA at 64%! Nene would be excellent for us to land. I'm not sure we can get him, but Denver will probably trade him if he's being vocal about wanting out next season. I don't know what that third "preferred destination" for him is, but the Nuggets won't be trading him to Miami and most likely not Dallas either. So I guess we'll see. Gawd, I wish it were February 24th already...
id give up a real big handful of talent for anthony and nene.. id also love it if we could flip yao for emeka somehow... say: lowry+lee+battier(bought out and resigned for less)+scola+chuck(also possibly bought out or resigned in offseason)+ jeffries for: nene + melo and then yao(resigned next year for less) for emeka + willie green Lineup of Brooks/Ish/T-Will kmart/bud/t-will/green melo/battier/bud/twill nene/hill/patterson emeka/nene/miller We'd have insane scoring and a pretty good rim protection......
Oh hell yes for Nene Hilario. Remember Nene plays with Carmelo Anthony and Kenyon Martin, all of whom pack the paint and grab rebs. His rebounds are deflated in the same way that DH inflates his rebs via having stretch fours. He isn't the ideal shot-blocking defensive presence however shot-blocking dudes only block 1-3 shots a game, its not as important as being able to pack the paint and bother shots, something that Nene does reasonably well. At 28 years old he's young enough to pair with KM for the next 5 years. Forget Melo let's get this guy instead.
