Hey ZRB and everyone else who is concerned.

Ok ,ZRB I assume you are telling the truth here so I will take your word for it.

I called Austin Time warner again, and they would not turn on the league pass channels for me, even though I practically begged them to do it.

So if ZRB is right, (which I think he is) NBA League is showing preseason games this Tues and my Austin Time Warner does even know about this. What a shame!

You other Austinites who have NBA League Pass on digital cable, Get on the phones and talk to customer service (if you want to catch some Rockets preseason action)

I need some freaking preseason ball to cure my ills.

Go with Grande Communications over Time Warner for digital cable. It's cheaper & you don't have to give your money to the Time Warner / AOL Beast. ..... Why don't they make games available like Pay per view movies. $3 each. I would buy tons but don't really want the entire package (my wife will leave me if I get that)

Because $3 each for 82 games is $246, and league pass is only $159.

Tuesday is correct, but it's Tuesday, October 29th which is the beginning of the NBA season.

Smokey and DaDakota Qazi and others,

Did you guys call TW Austin? What did they tell you? Did you tell them that games begin on Tuesday Oct 15th? If they continued to reject you, demand for a discount. That is what I did.

PIMP, League Pass shows a few preseason games every year, and this year they are starting to show them on Oct 15th.

This is also true for DirecTV (and has been for the past 3 seasons). On the satellite "Free Preview" also included preseason games...though not all of them.

I would imagine that the channels are ON when the games are being shown.

My guess is that they activate them and then the League pass people run the feed.

Actually, it would make sense to charge more on a game-by-game basis. If you buy all of them, you get a discount. I wouldn't mind occassionally paying $3 to see some other team play in lieu of nothing else being on.

Maybe yes, maybe no....if they get the money up front, the interest earned can give them more in the long run......

That would be great if Grande actually carried NBA League Pass which they dont. This is the whole reason I switched to Time Warner a week ago. For all of you other Rockets fans in the Austin/San Marcos area who have Grande right now, call Time Warner and tell them that you are with Grande and they will give you a great deal! Then you will have cheap cable and be able to get League Pass.

The guy told me October 29th. I didn't demand for a discount cause I don't have digital right now. I told the guy if you carry preseason I'll order it right now, and he said he can't do anything about it.

Sorry for my late response. I e-mailed Indemand on Thursday, and finally got a response today. They said that preseason games WILL be televised tomorrow. If your company is refusing to turn on the channels, you need to complain big-time.

Most of the customer service people I deal with are inept. Good luck.

I don't live in Austin and don't have a stake in this but I suggest that you go to the Time Warner office to complain and take a hard copy of the email from InDemand with you. It makes for great evidence.

    Good luck!
