That makes no sense. You're comparing a Christian governor wanting to convert Non-Christians to a Muslim Governor wanting to kill non-Muslims. Do you see how stupid this comparison is? A more intelligent comparison would have been a Muslim governor saying he want Non-Muslims to become Muslims. So, I'm sure this would be a non-story for you if this Muslim happened to be elected as governor of your state?
Absolutely, it's not a positive in my eyes. But, to his credit, he has been the most secular friendly President we've ever had.
So your outrage is that he believes in God, thinks it is important in his life and wants you to share that as well? Why would an atheist, who professes that there is no God, care that this man wishes you believed? If you don't want people who wish you shared their faith in office, don't ever vote for anyone who has any beliefs on any subject matter at all!

The comments of the pastor of his church made me uneasy, definitely. However, Obama himself has never expressed any interest in converting people as far as I know...certainly not since he's been in office. In fact he's shown nothing but respect for people of other religious beliefs. Correct me if I'm wrong?
Has this man somehow disrespected other faiths by saying they are not his brother and sister of his faith? I have a friend who is Muslim. I do not feel disrespected by her that she does not consider me a member of her religion when I have voluntarily opted not to be a part of it.
Again, so what? Whatever you choose to believe or not believe, makes you a member of a group of fellow believers/non-believers. If you are Atheist/Agnostic/Muslim/Hindu/Christian/etc. you are a part of something that not everyone is. It is not exclusionistic to say that.
This is BS and you know it. He was refering to non-christians and not atheists. Being Jewish, I can tell you from personal experiences that I do not appreciate religions that attempt to proselytize. His comments state that he wishes that all non-christians accept jesus. So if he is in charge of contracts and there's a company with a Christian CEO or a Jewish CEO... I wonder which one he's going to prefer. A man is entitled to say what he wants in his place of worship. A politican is always under a microscope though. He could have worded it much better and it leaves a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths.
Forget the word Atheist, I used it in place of Jewish/Muslim/Hindu/etc. Again, any person who claims to believe in something that is important to them and wonderful but does not want others to be a part of it is concerning to me... You have no more reason to suspect bias of him then you do of a governor who likes big breasted women who is looking over the contracts presented by a hot young associate and an old man.
I can't watch a video here (no sound) but if you want to explain it to me I will appreciate it. I understood atheism to be a rejection of the idea that there are deities and agnosticism to be the idea that we can't know the truth about God.
