Shouldn't a true floor general like your boy Lowry be able to handle all that?

Maybe so, but I do not ever remember a Rocket team losing so many close games. ANd we are losing close games to teams that are blowing out their competition. Miami, the Spurs Chicago, Lakers, Jazz, Hornets.

We have lost 10 games by 6 points or less including 4 OT losses. Where as we have only won 3 games by 6 points or less and 2 of those were last week against Atlanta and Boston which IMO we took over those games down the stretch and won more soldily than the 6 points indicated. We have only been in one really close win and that was against OKC and we were winning by 9 points late in the 4th quarter and still barely managed to win as Durant missed an open 20 footer that managed to save us an embarrassing loss.

The fact is if the game is close down the stretch we lose most nights. And I was in search of the most likely reason albeit there are many. And in my quick and unbrilliant observation a low post defensive presence and a go to guy would be the most important need and Yao would have given us both. With his presence I believe we would be a real contender. Of course most people would say DUH!@# But that is my 2 cents.
