He speaks what he thinks is the truth. But he's so ignorant that most of what he says is still wrong.

Cheryl Miller is the absolute biggest douche (I find that term apt and appropriate to describe her) on TV. She always tries to sound hip with her lingo, and she has a permanent chip on her shoulder for some reason. She always has this tone in her voice like she's attacking whoever she's talking to.

BB would probably be pretty good in a cell phone spyware ad. Jus kiddin.

Seriously though, he's doing a great job for what he's going through.

and the CWebb/GP video rocked. Great stuff!

Brent is my favorite to watch, from day one he acted like he had been doing it for his whole career.

I cringe at the thought of him having to cover a Spurs game. I bet they wouldn't assign him to do it, it would be an awkward torture attempt. Nonetheless, I wouldn't be surprised if he chose to do it to demonstrate his composure, the guy is a class act.

If Charles can do it, they can do it too. If he wants to, and I have a feeling he will, Artest is going to become one, and I can't wait for that to happen.

I really like Rick Kamla, he is a professional and informed, and he makes an effort to be enthusiastic even if he's discussing some terrible team.

Barkley is outspoken but uninformed, so he speaks his mind but says dumb stuff all the time that he ends up being wrong about.

Steve Kerr is outspoken and extremely informed. Listen to him on the BS report. He has lots of insider knowledge and would make a great studio analyst.

Brent Barry is decent, can be funny without being a total clown.

Another person who is professional and knowledgeable is Doris Burke, one of the only females who reports on male sports that can give true analysis.

That's every female trying to get up the corporate ladder. I don't blame them because they have no historical blueprint to fall back on; all they can do is impersonate what's around them. Like my Japanese Doji Oo teacher once said, to defeat the enemy, you must become the enemy.

Agreed. Although she doesn't really "analyze" per se. She gives more of a summary.

Doris Burke is a wise old grandmother. She knows who she is and where she comes from. She ain't worryin about the club line at Blue or jivin with coworkers after work. She gon go home and bake her kids some cookies and knit.

As a woman of color, it's only natural Cheryl looks for more hip role models.

Might I ask how many people here have made love to a black girl?

And how did that differ to a white girl?

THAT'S RIGHT BABY, YOU KNOW WHA IM SAYIN AH HO HO HO.

The Doris and Cheryl comparison is irrelevant, as well as the calendar spreads you can't get out of your head.

I done checked in the soul train, FIRST CLASS. AH HO HO HO /Kenny Smith signing off to ravenous high fives from his hood brothers.

Yeah, I get that she tries a little hard and it comes across as annoying. But a lot of it is probably trying to overcompensate for the predetermined lack of respect she'll always receive for being a female sports analyst. For example:

    <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/agbRbTkdoSs?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/agbRbTkdoSs?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

Really, a scrub like Scott Pollard who's better known for his wacky hair than his basketball is going to clown on Cheryl Miller, one of the best female basketball players of all time, like she wouldn't have even made it into the WNBA?? People are going to say that on TNT they clown on Kenny all the time for not being as good of a basketball player as them, but clearly this isn't in that good natured spirit. That condescending tone in Pollard's voice has everything to do with the fact that she's female, and to me that's a real douche.

Anyway, I already admitted my bias/soft spot for female sports analysts. Not saying you're one of them, but I wonder how many guys would admit they wouldn't mind Cheryl Miller sitting amongst the boys if she were thin and pretty like, say, Erin Andrews. Hmmmmm....

Well, I hate Reggie too. Both are way too damn loud. You don't need to scream into the mic to get your point across.
