ok, so hopefully now is catchup time. I think we can beat the next 3 teams (MIL, NY, MEM), but we will have trouble against Orlando again. Hopefully being at home will help. If we could start a winning streak now that would go a long way for these guys confidence for the rest of the season.
Kmart had a good run in Dec. in the 4th quarters when Brooks was out - whooping up on the sub .500 teams. He was becoming a closer there against the lesser teams.
The Rockets are only 2.5 games behind Portland. If Denver doesn't slip (I have a feeling it will happen in March-April if they trade Carmelo) there are 5 teams battling to take San Antonio in the first round. Portland 20-20 ----- Memphis 18-21 Phoenix 17-21 Houston 18-23 Golden State 16-23 I know it's still early, but it's fun to look at.
The hawks should trade for a superstar and a closer. Thinking of the three games that the rockets choked away hurts, this win helps a little. Time to win 6 in a row.
Playoffs are not out of reach... They can easily make it as long as they are healthy and can make a trade to fix defensive center in starting lineup. AB is going to help us a lot in closing games. 3 games behind with half season to go is nothing.
Don't forget Chuck Hayes. It's obvious his ankle is still sore and he's out there giving his all. He played well and showed off some great offensive moves.

It's hard to make out what this rockets team is from game to game. But it seems that in the fourth if Martin isn't in there we are able to be a bit more consistent on defense. That was definitely the case when he sat out those games not long ago.
Have you checked the Rockets record lately; we are a good ways from .500 looking up? Rockets were 17-23 before the game tonight.
