Yao looked weak, slow and out of shape. His goaltending with one minute left in OT leaves his judgement is serious doubt, here's hoping he pulls it together for the Rocks in a hurry. He left his feet early and often, which might be good enough for a silver medal in the Asian Games, but will only get you fouled out in the NBA. I'm thinking with conditioning and playing adjustments/foul trouble, Yao's good for 20 minutes, Cato for 28 for the first 20 games or so of the season.

By the way, the (fake) Yao rocket jerseys are already on sale here in Hong Kong!

If errors are turnovers in those box scores then China had 23 TO's to only 9 for Korea. That's pretty big. How did Yao only get 10 frikken shots? GEEEZ!!

What were Yao's stats by the way? Does Korea have anyone even remotely NBA caliber? This is kind of strange.

I dont have the stats off my hand right now. From what I saw on TV, Yao
probably got around 25-30 points and 7-8 rebs 1 assist. China
lead as many as 20 points in the game, and was still leading
by 9 points when there was 1.5 min in the regular. The korean
team didnt have inside threat at all, almost all of their points came
from outside jumper. They usually double team Yao Ming when get the ball, and front him when he calls for the ball. Yet, the chinese still didnt seem to find a way to feed him ball nicely. Well, he still scored 20+ points. I think Yao was outstanding regardless of China's loss.
Korea start giving full court charge towards the end of the game. They charged towrds the Chinese guards like bulls, well, they chip away China's 9 point lead in just like 45 sec. Then they got hype in the OT. The game result dont concern me, who gives after all. I am a little worried how the Chinese sports offical would
react to this loss, considering Wang Zhizhi's incident. They were cases Chinese atheletes got purnishments previously, like ban from playing abroad, because they didnt do well for the China NT. I remeber the Chinese men gymnastic team got such purnishment.

yes, 11/11 FT under such a high pressure.

S.Korea did the same thing to Chinese NT as they did to
Italy soccer team in the world cup. shameless on them.

The starting center for Korea is 6'10 vs Yao who is 7'5.

But then again, Korea is noted for its hometown decisions. Remember the Seoul Olympics where Korea won 11 of 12 gold medals in boxing?

China had basically handed the gold metal to Korea. One minute to go in regulation time and still up by 10 points, they ran fast breaks which led to turn over. Two words: bad coaching.

Korea did not win 11 of 12 gold medals in boxing. Trolls like you always cause trouble for other people. I admit that Korea got lucky calls in worldcup due to homefield advantage, but it is ridiculous for trolls like you to come up with fake stats.

25 seconds in the 4th quarter and the chinese are up by 7 and the koreans still force an overtime. Then in the overtime korea is leading by 1 thaks to hu wei dong's 3 freethrow shot and i think the time remaining is 16 or 24 seconds and korea has the ball the chinese foul away from the play. after that they let the koreans dribble until the time remaining i think is 7 seconds ,why did wang fei did'nt tell his players to foul? why did he let the koreans eat the clock. Mental lapse by the coach.
