Now that we have another trade exception, I think there is a very good chance the Rockets do this. Gerald Wallace for free sounds like a deal

You can't combine trade exceptions, and Wallace's salary is too large to fit into either. Now, they could trade Yao for Wallace and another bad contract (Diop?), but that kind of trade doesn't make the Rockets a contender and just assures them of continuing mediocrity.

Even a trade for Lebron or Dwight right now wouldn't make us a contender (and that right there is the game's 2 most dominant factors, someone like Wallace would push us onto the playoff side and out of the lottery side of mediocre which might give us that few % chance to land a big name free agent.

It's a tough game finding that next big name when you're a decent team, it's an impossible game when you're as bad as we are.

G Wallace is the PERFECT third option. he provides us with rebounding that was clearly lacking in the fourth/OT for the rockets.

He also is a slasher that scores, something rockets only put on brooks and martin, but with wallace, brooks and martin can score freely on the floor

Down by 30 points in Denver before the half. The Cavs are really mailing it in. Even a D-league team would have hung in closer.

Try to get Iggy instead. He can be a future Battier replacement.

Sorry, but a trade fro Bron would make any team a contender lol. Are you watching the Cavs this season?

Either way, it's so unlikely that it's not worth the argument

IMO Gerald Wallace is better than any of our current players. He earns his contract in a very tangible and intangible way. I'd trade for him and look to move others with bigger contracts and/or players who will earn big contracts in the offseason (Brooks).

He didn't understand RA's system before. Adelman usually brings back players that did well under his system, fellas. Sorry.

the only reason i watch bobcats games earlier in the season. just the rockets, bulls for rose n noah, and bobcats for gerald wallace. hes a hustle guy who doesnt leave his guy ever. if you like hayes and lowry type in our team, you'll love wallace. and he makes basically kevin martin money. not cheap but not a bloated dead weight for the team.

the cavs weren't contenders, they were regular season warriors and playoff roadkill, they couldn't beat any contenders in a series.

The name Kwame Brown just keeps on coming back when I see Jordan managing a basketball club.
