That's how these guys play. Scared to win. No muscle in their mentality, with Kyle lowry being the only exception. Maybe another player or two but it's not worth noting...because COLLECTIVELY they choose not to win. I've watched this team for a long time now...and the Rockets are scared to win. Plain and simple. They can't put any fear whatsoever into an opponent, and they specialize in blowing leads. It's not the talent or the system, it's their loser mindset. I'm willing to put that on everything. I'm no longer a fan of this team until they show they've stopped playing like scared pansies on the court. It's a fact, these dudes choose not to play with a killer instinct for a full 48. Stop with the trade talk, it's their mindset. I promise you 100%.
That's why he needs to be the first to go, otherwise we'll just continue to rebuild with the same identity "soft" we need some thug players
What I witnessed tonight, when the game was on the line there was no movement on offense, a lot of one on one. The pick and roll Defence was atrocious. Our interior guys just didn't get it done. How many times did we have to watch someone flash out to help, then let the man with the ball blow by without resistance?
I call that playing with fear. What happened when they were causing turnover left and right and started to build a lead? It was aggresiveness. Then they got scared and let it snowball.
And I guarantee you that every other team that looks at film on the Rockets can see the same thing as yourself and will attack the Rockets' accordingly. Sometimes, the other guys know how to play the game also. That is life in the NBA. Folks around here need to learn to live with it...
I miss '08. Hungry Ron Ron, healthy Yao, Brooks' coming out party, Landry and Wafer providing a jolt off the bench, only Scola's 2nd year in the league...
That's been the problem all season. This team has no problem running their offense for most of the game, but when the game is on the line, they go completely away from their movement offense and start isoing like it's nobody's business. Hence, why everyone says they need to get a guy like Carmelo.
Because they lose faith in themselves at the wrong time. What do you call a team that blows leads, or a team that suddenly plays hard when they're down by like 15 and discover it was too little too late? The Rockets.
blame the guy who collected these pansies? or blame the guy who coaches them? omg this is a tough one!
