His body failed him because he typically fails to train properly or rehab properly. There is a reason why there are always accusations of laziness and poor work ethic trailing him. Oh no, TOF's like to claim, it's just everyone hating on T-Mac. Yao's body failed because he was too big to play basketball for long at a NBA pace. You don't hear anyone questioning Yao's work ethic... EVER. Funny how T-Mac's trail him like herpes. You guys like him, I get it. Just don't pretend that he was ever anything special. He had all the chances in the world to be special, he just never had the discipline to work for it.

 

Didn't McGrady also have scoliosis??

Man, by your logic, every blue collar player in the NBA, the likes of Chuck Hayes and Tony Allen and Mario Chalmers etc etc, just to name a few, are the most hardworking diligent players ever. While every star, in your eyes, never fully reach their potential and their talents are AAAALWAYS wasted. Every role player in a perfect example of hardwork and great attitude never wasting a single second outside of the games and always put in 1000 percent every time. While the superstars always just coast and collect stats and paychecks.

Lets just say, in your above post, you would replace T-Mac with just about any star in the post and you would say the same thing again and again. You gonna be copying and pasting the same post and just putting in Allen Iverson and Vince Carter in the Sixers and Suns forum?

 

I can take the 10-20 games he was out for chronic back pains. What I cannot take is him taking himself in and out of lineups, constant whining, and giving up. Either put up or shut up and if you can't play, shut it down. Like I have said in posts before, he had all the tools and chances to be truly one of the best and he threw it all away.

 

How much of an impact did last night have on your team preparing for tonight’s game?

I am focused every game but when you have an arena that boos you, I think that you put a little more focus into it.

Do you feel like you are starting to control the game?

Yes that is the type of player I am always under control no matter how the game is going. I just always try and keep my poise and try and control the pace of the game. That is just what my game is and it is starting to feel a lot better physically. Being out for so long I think I actually got a little smarter on the basketball court watching the game from a far.

Thoughts on handling the ball more…

I am a rhythm player so having the ball helps me on the basketball court get my rhythm. I feel that I am a great decision maker and I feel the ball should be in my hands making plays for teammates. That is what I thrive off of, making my teammates better. There is no greater feeling than that. Having the ball has given confidence to me and my teammates.

why do haters keep coming in here and hating, they're already know they're going to be irritated by T-Mac fans. a true definition of a hater, the worst type of people putting themselves in the position to constantly hate and hate..

 

I was never fond of Kevin Martin to begin with. There's plenty of players in the league that put up points on bad teams, and so far that's all Martin has shown he can do.

 

I have to admit...T-Mac is playing a lot better than I ever thought he would at this stage of his career.

 

Kevin Martin isn't an all-star. He can't create for other players. The bridges are obviously burned when it comes to Tracy but watching him now, he still has a lot of game left.

 

Yep that's what I thought of him when he was in Sacramento, but his stats looked good and Morey is a stats guy.

Good game for TMac, I hope he gets traded to a contender so he can play some meaningful games. At least it'll give me a reason to watch the playoffs this year.

ok so basically u are mad that mcgrady was "injury prone" and that his last season with the rockets was miserable because the knee issues he had the previous year was still lingering. Thats y he was in and out of the lineup. Your complaining about the whining and giving up now. I am just arguing over the fact that u said he was faking it.

In his prime he was the most versatile scorer in the league and a top 5 overrall player. Thats pretty special by anyones standards.
