anyone else get these? i think that's what's been going on with me. i've had a headache basically every day for the past 3 weeks. strange thing is my sleep hasn't been affected. i think i'm going to cut the caffiene to see if that helps. but damn, it feels like someone is playing whack a mole between my eyes.
Never had this, but I get Migraines frequently. It's gotten to the point that I know and feel it coming on. Wouldn't wish this upon anybody.
have you had your eyes checked recently? i find when i start getting frequent headaches, that's usually the cause.
It's a sharp pain that stays with me for days. Most of the time I can't do normal activities because my vision gets blurred. I usually pop 2 excedrins and just try to knock out. The blurred vision part is a sign (for me at least) that a migraine is coming on.
I have been diagnosed with cluster headaches. I currently take verapamil to assist in preventing them. I'm not sure how you know as I was diagnosed by my PCP once I explained to him what I was going through. Some tips my doctor gave me: 1. If you are having frequent headaches, see your doctor and do NOT take over the counter meds for frequent headaches. This can end up causing rebound headaches. 2. If you intake caffeine daily, then not intaking it for a day or two can cause you headaches from withdrawals. I completely weaned myself from caffeine to eliminate this as a cause of my headaches I still got them months after being off caffeine. 3. There are medicines you can take that help prevent or limit the number of episodes you have. I have been on several and among them were Topamax, Verapamil and several others. I am currently on Verapmil because it assists in both preventing the headaches and lowering my high blood pressure. 4. Usually after diagnosis of cluster headaches, the doctor will give you a med for the headaches (pain) itself until your body gets used to the prevention meds. I was given Maxalt, Midrin and Elavil for this, at different times of course as I have switched prevention meds a few times. I hope this helps somewhat, if I think of anything else I'll post it and if you have any questions, please ask.
i've dealt with cluster headaches my whole life. lots of times they are really just a 'rebound' headache from unbalance in either your diet or sleep habits. the only way i've ever found to get through a cluster headache is to take opiates.
i have 20/20 vision, and haven't experienced any blurriness at all since i got the headaches. anyway, i will see a doc on Tuesday if doesn't get any better.
I had one a few years ago that lasted 6 weeks. It was some of the worst pain of my life. My Mom has had migraines since she was a teenager, and hers frequently last for more than a month. It's terrible.
