Hasn't he been hurt for like two or three weeks? I like Gerald Wallace and he was a stat beast last year. He has health issues though. Last year was the first year he was actually healthy. As for Jordan. I expect him to cut a lot of payroll. I wouldn't doubt if they start the rebuilding process again.
Wallace AND a 1st for a TE? Hey Cavs, you have zero leverage right now. Take Wallace for a TE and high fives around the office.
Seriously this makes no sense. They'd be trading Wallace to start over, which means using all their existing draft picks if not also trying acquiring more. Certainly not giving them away.
Dude if Wallace can be had that easily. We should trade Yao for him. Lets try to get Nazi Mohammed too.
Yeah, but no thanks. I've never been a huge fan of Wallace on THIS team. Frankly, he's not a significant enough upgrade over Battier/Budinger/Williams to make his salary worthwhile, especially with the new CBA looming and the Rockets possibly needing to continue a "youth movement". Adding his ~$11M annual salary would basically clog the team's salary cap without significantly upgrading the team from a competitive standpoint.
Thats BS. WTF is Morey doing? Everyone is improving their rosters but us. I have been wanting G.Wallace for so long. I will be shattered if we miss out. In Morey we bust.
Former Kings players are like crack to the Rockets. If all they want is cap relief, he will be a Rocket soon
I'm wondering this myself. I get it: the Bobcats are a disaster and are going all-out with a firesale/rebuilding movement. All the same, they're literally giving him away in this scenario. With only 2.5 years remaining on his relatively fair contract I can't say I agree with this line of thinking.
This. If we were contenders and had a team built to make a deep run then Wallace would be the perfect player to pick up. That is not the case however. I could see Wallace thriving in a situation where he's surrounded by 2 legit superstars making him the 3rd option. We need a franchise player and G Wall is not the answer.
Because of his contract and the fact he's not a true impact player, Crash probably has negative value for the Bobcats and a lot of teams. The only way MJ can trade him is by adding a sweetener, unless they want to wait until the trade deadline and hope a contending team needs a SF. Morey should just say no to him. Contract is too big. Adding good players that are overpaid is not how to build a championship roster.
