    But seriously, the refs have too much power with the application of the "no arguing" policy. So many technicals in such a short time span? - talk about game changing! If that were to happen to us, we would go nuts as well.

    To be honest, the refs HAVE toned down a bit... I guess they didn't see the memo to turn it down for Minnesota too...

    No matter HOW upset an official might be, he's the one that needs to exercise discretion. To give 5 technicals in 10 seconds shows me that he lost control of the situation, and over-compensated by going on a power trip. If David Stern or Stu Jackson don't address Mauer behind closed doors (or even publically after such an egregious act by Mauer), then he's just not doing his job.

    I already have a fundamental dislike for how much influence referees have in basketball... this is just taking it way too far.

    PS Laimbeer is a really good actor.

    Haha I was watching the box score for this game. Manu shot 3 technicals one after the other and I thought it was a stat mistake. Then he shot another one about 5 lines down. Unbelievable that this is real.

    Minny should have walked off the court and forfeit the game in protest. Its BS what these refs are doing, they have massive power/ego issues.

    Someone has to take a stand.
