quick 2k11 question

I am not sure about that, but I have a few tips.

Put as many skill points as you can into quickness, and speed.

Once you are over 80 on both the fast break is really easy and a great way to build up your stats.

Also, change the quarter times to 6 minutes or more...that will give you a lot more possessions to up your stats.

I personally have them set at 6 minutes but am down to my last 15 games and need to average like 30ppg to get the 20ppg milestone so going to up the minutes for a game or 2 to see if that matters.....I suspect it does.

Master one of the drills, to where you can win every time.....I do the shooting drill am over 80 on all shots in close, medium and layups, and nearly 70 at 3pt shots.

All I do is drain medium shot after medium shot and then concentrate on zones the last 20ish seconds.

My guy is only ranked about 57 in his rookie year, got traded twice, and am now on the Bulls....averaging about 18.6ppg...after a very slow start.....

My Player (finally) got traded to the Rockets over the weekend, I was so pumped. They only gave up Jeffries to get me (my guy stinks still). I'm starting at the 3.

Now I'm ticked because AB is a chucker, and can't make a shot. His shooting stats in the 3 games I've played: 2-13, 3-16, 2-12. Martin is no better: 4-10, 3-12, 5-11. Team record in those 3 games: 0-3.

Is it a chemistry issue since I was just traded to the team, and it'll get better as we go along? I'm about to request a trade again because this sucks. I can't build any offensive stats because I never get the ball. I go for offensive rebounds, but AB literally dribbles for 6 seconds then jacks a 3. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen.

I guess I could just tough it out and try and make my guy better, but this is horrible. I look up in the 3rd quarter, and I'm still at a C or C+. Before I was traded to the Rox, I was averaging an A+.

 

Im on the Magic..... starting SF.... when i first got to the team we were good, like beating teams by 10-15 points a game... now we've won 1 out of our last 11 games, I dont knwo whats going on....

 

I was drafted to the Spurs and made the team. Ginobili got hurt and i stepped into the starting lineup and havent been out of it since. He came back from injury and i am still starting. I average 18.0 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 2.7 APG. 30 games in. I've actually enjoyed it so far.

 

just keep setting pick, don't turnover, and play defense

As far as the original poster's question, I think it depends more on the coach's profile and player tendencies. My guy is on the Hawks and it is so hard to get assists, because everyone wants to isolate or hold/post the ball once they get the ball even when they are wide open under the basket its hard to get them to shoot immediately. Lots of times it seems like they purposely hold it just long enough for me to not get the assist then shoot the jumper.

Because of this I dont really try for assists, because I found that my player grade suffers a lot from it when I do. I just focus on setting picks, scoring, defending shots and rebounding and have little trouble getting A+ in any game with 3 min quarters or more. The biggest thing is getting your speed to a point where you can cross over everyone guarding you. The key is to get the defender running to keep up and then change directions, and turbo to the hoop. you dont even need the dribble modifier button. Even if your dunking is at low 60s you will be dunking on everyone soon.

My SF is MVP 3/4 through season 1, starting for the Hawks. He leads the league in scoring, per, efficiency and shooting %.

Best game so far (by a lot): 12 min quarters vs Thunder

38-45 for 87pts 10 rebs, 11 blks, 2 asts, 1 stl, 1 TO guarding Durant 21-43 for 46 pts 7 rebs, 2 blk, 1 TO

Won 143-108, and got my first triple double and first game 40+ scoring

 

Just won the championship with the rockets. Only one playoff lost. Me and Yao are unstoppable.

I just got traded to the Rockets too, they traded Bud for me.
I'm a 7'2 center.
And no, it's not a chemistry issue. AB will always chuck up shots when you're in the game, just keep running the plays and setting picks and you should be good.

starting at the 2 for the mavericks ( it sucks but its better than the raptors or pistons which seem to be the only teams I get traded to ). I think its easiest to start off on the athletic playstyle because speed is already relatively high. Boosting offense is easy. I don't have a problem getting shots anymore, bit did at first. If you're having problems with the teamate grade, focus on rebounds and shot defense. I have literally put nothing into it and average 14.7 ( yeah that's ridiculous ) along with 28 points and 5.5assists. My overall rating is an 80.

I'm two games away from the playoffs on all star difficulty and you're teammates will always make r****ded passes. I thought I hated Jason Terry before, but my hatred has ascended to a whole new level.

Nah, nothing like that. Two things I think that helped are that my SF is only 6'7 so he gets plenty of do the skillpoints per game, also Bibby got hurt early in the season, so I got a quick boost in minutes. When I started out I maxed out my Mid range shooting, so i would only shoot midrange jumpers. Then I did shooting in traffic and got my dunks up to 80. Once I got my speed up to 85+ and got my quickness up a bit I really started ballin; that was the point when the majority of SFs could not keep up with him and I could cross them over with ease.

My overall right now is only 71, but I have inside shooting, close shooting, midrange shooting, and layups maxed now. My offhand dribbles is at 75 to cut down on turnovers.

If I could give you some advice it would be to get your steals up to about 70 then do the steals training. I got +speed quite a bit with gold, sometimes +2 speed. Also, if i got something I didnt like I just didn t save and did it over

I got picked up by the pacers 10# pick.I am leading the lead in scoring an blks.I play 7 min quaters and average 37 7ast 2.8blks an 11 reb.I start for the pacers an have gotten rookie of the month all months.my plaer ovrll is a 70 only played 32 games so far best thing to do is target for speed upgrades don't try to do any other drills but speed and quickness.they give more points than just shot medium.

 

i got drafted 24th by the atlanta hawks, traded to pistons, traded to warriors, then traded to lakers, and still on my rookie year. starting SF alongside with bynum, gasol, kobe, and steve nash LOL. my overall is 57 right now.
