<img src="http://www.detnews.com/pix/2002/03/29/sponit.jpg"> LOL. How do they think that this guy is going to be any good? (He's the one of the left) I live near Philly so Temple games are on tv all the time. He is terrible. He's listed at being 6-10, 290, but he is probably more like 6-7 350.
oh wow he doesnt even know where the ball is ha!! Kueth Duany (yes Kueth), the guy on the right, rocks!! He's a great competitior for the orange. I hope they do well this year. btw, temple beat syracuse 17-16 saturday in football .
Lary Brown said that the Sixers would only look at guys that had a good shot at making the team. I think that the Sixers would be crazy to sign Rollerson.
Well, maybe he does have a good chance of making the team. After a long brain storming session, I figured he would make the team, as comic relief. Think about it, he looks like a marshmallow man, so he's funny without trying to be. Just imagine a mini-tank marshmallow man defending Shaq and getting trampled, that would boost the morale of any dejected losers (Sixers).
I watch a lot of Temple basketball (my parents are alums), and Rollerson's not as bad as you would think. However, the guy has terrible hands and I don't think he could handle the tempo of an NBA game. I can't see him making the team.
It's just suprising that a pro team would be interested in a guy that didn't even start on a team that didn't make the NCAA Tourny. He only averaged 2 ppg lol.
Not bad numbers from the Sixers/Raptors game last night: Ron Rollerson - 3-5 FGM-A 1-1 FTM-A 7 points 8 rebounds 1 assist 1 blocked shot All this in 11 minutes?!?!?!
The Sixers also signed "Officer" Polynice. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news/20021014/sixerspolynice.html
Okay, so the Sixers' management is either: 1) dedicating the season to comedy, sort of like the Washington Generals, or 2) trying to drive Larry Brown and/or AI out of town by making them miserable.
