I guarantee Morey has inquired but at the expense of thabeet. Something like Lee and Hill for Mayo n Thabeet. Or possibly Martin and Hill for Mayo and Gasol. That's if they believe Gasol might demand too much as a restricted free agent.

I don't understand OJ Mayo. He had one of the better rookie seasons in recent history, then failed to improve his second year. But, I don't know why he's barely cracking the Grizzlies' lineup. He's easily a serviceable SG in this league, and in the right system can be a borderline star. I'd give up Brooks for him easily.

I would like to see us get bigger and focus on getting a franchise player we have enough mediocre talent.

    Is Mayo an upgrade?

no, he is an offensive minded SG which we already have.

You want to upgrade the team look at defensive minded centers.

Nobody's asking if he's an upgrade for the center spot. Of course we need a defensive center, but that need shouldn't preclude us from upgrading other positions if they're available.

It's because OJ Mayo is the 4th option on that team. Well at least he is made the forth option. Gay, Gasol and Conley are all put over him BECAUSE of their coach. The coach is holding Mayo down. I have NO idea why he is being held down because as you said he is a very serviceable guard. OJ should be getting better and should of already cracked all-star potential, but since their coach has held Mayo down I doubt he can reach that potential now.

if he's stuck in his grizzlies situation because of the coach and NOT because he lacks commitment to defense or team ball then i'd be down. but another wing is not what we need.

i have him on my fantasy team and he's def. not playing like i thought he was going to.

I would welcome Mayo, but I'm more interested in Love. I think if we brought Love out here we could make some noise...

Hil can barley get any time behind Kmart. We have players like him who don't fight over gambling and make less money.

    No.

We should trade for a Superstar or trade Vets for picks or young good players.

Mayo should play alongside with Battier or T-will, not Granger.

He needs to have around 20 shots per game and he'll be outstanding.

I really want him to be a part of this team but right now I'm happy with Martin.

Mayo is future superstar and I would like to see him in Rockets uniform but only if Martin would be dealt for a solid big that we need. It's an only opportunity for me

    He's incredible player.

He's excellent shooter, good passer, he sees the court well, can rebound for a guard, he's clutch shooter, someone you can trust in late game situations but selfish f0cking gayman Rudy doesn't give him enough shot attempts

i think mayo can potentially be a better player than martin in the longrun. mayo is already betetr than martin when it comes to driving to the basket.

Mayo is to lateral of a move. We don't need a wing, we need a sf and center. Are we rebuilding? Then yes, but I haven't seen the front office in blow up mode yet. We need a center and small forward. Memphis has not sf that I want even Rudy Gay. Gasol is the only guy I would trade for and they won't do that. It's all they have for losing his brother.
