It wouldn't make sense for him to get a buyout and sign back to Denver if Harris is traded to Denver. Strange twist. My guess is he will warm up to the idea.
If Miami gets Billups they might not lose another game for the rest of the season. I hope Denver realizes that and does not help Miami out.
If LA gets Billups they might not lose another game for the rest of the season. I hope Denver realizes that and does not help LA out.
Even if he doesn't sign with Denver as a player, he wants to work in their front office. Carmelo was raised in Denver. His wife was his high school sweetheart from Denver. Both of them have extended families and high school friends all over that city. He has also mentioned not moving his 3 daughters away from that support network of family and friends. His contract expires in a year anyway.
get billups, acquire wins? but seriously, how messed up is this melo situation. hes causing after effects for ppl like chauncey and his family. all cause someone wants to be in nyc. i will never root for the guy, even if he was the best player in the game and he was handing me hot supermodels to screw.
He would have left as a free agent under normal conditions, it's just that he doesn't want to lose money after the lockout.
I said this earlier in the season and was told I was wrong. He wants to be home after playing for a fair share of teams already.
That's what Denver fans are saying, that if he is brought out, he will resign with denver, as his family is there. But you play in the NBA to win rings, not play on a team that has no chance to be in the playoffs. So the lure of playing deep into the playoffs will be tempting for Him, and I'm sure Pat Riley will be the first to call, if he gets a buyout.
