Can you imagine how awesome that would be?? Kids would't even want to go to Disney World, They'd go to Star Wars..
You could break it up into different sections like have one area the Death Star which has like these crazy ass rides that thrills and excite you like the Vader Coaster..
Have the other section the Jedi where you can battle people in Light Saber duels and ****... You could have restaurants based themed that looks like from the movie..
You could have the workers dress as Jedi too, how cool is that???
Have like Clone Wars battle theatrical plays for the theater goer that would be so awesome...
    Lucas make it happen!!!!!

It wasn't a theme park, but I did like the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton in Vegas. I was sad when it closed. :(

I dunno...I like my theme parks to have girls in them. Not a bunch of nerds running around in costumes.

Considering how big the Star Wars universe has become and how it reaches across all demographics (a lot more so than other sci-fi franchises), I'm surprised we haven't seen something like that.

You could have Corescent with attractions like the Jedi Temple with VR lightsaber and jedi training simulators, a coaster that mimics the chase sequence in AOTC. Among the restuarants would be that diner from AOTC.

Death star would have a coaster that emulates the attack sequence in ANH and/or ROTJ.

Endoor...this whole area is elevated to resemble the tree-top village with a coaster (maybe like an inverted coaster like Serial Thriller back in the Astroworld days) that reflects that...maybe even a water ride (that's similar to the Endor level in Return of the Jedi for Super NES)

Tatooine could have a ride that mimics the land speeder scenes in a ANH (a ride like Top Speed Dragster somewhere up north would be perfect). Restaurants could include the cantina.

Maybe you don't have to do a whole theme park, but some type of addition to an existing one, like they did for Harry Potter at Universal Studios I think. I'd pay to go to that....course considering Lucas, the prices would be exorbitant and you'd have to keep going back because he'd never be satisfied with how the park looks.

Doesn't Disneyworld already do "Star Wars" weeks during the year? Has anyone been? Is it any good? Or is it just Mickey with a lightsaber?

it's a great concept I agree but as mentioned Disney and George Lucas are already in cahoots ever since Star Tours. I remember an entire Ewok Village and huge At-At (at) Magic Kingdom in Orlando back in the day. these days Star Tours is still around but there are plenty of Star Wars related themes such as the Jedi Training Academy and Star Wars weekends.

This generation of kids are not into Star Wars. Jar Jar Binks is probably more popular to kids these days than Darth Vader.

The front of the park could be a big welcome sign with Lucas dry humping the Star Wars logo into oblivion.

Well Jar Jar is a part of Star Wars, much as purists want deny that the prequels don't exist.

The Clone Wars movie/series plays on Cartoon Network. And if the kids weren't into it, then they wouldn't have a whole section devoted to the toy line in the stores.

I'm thinking a theme park like would need to be an overall fantasy/science fiction park, not just hitched onto Star Wars. Like a Universal Studios theme park uber-expanded. Parks need seasonal themes as much as a good constant theme. Dominate it with science fiction but get the Twilight crap in there to get some girls in.

The same retro packaged action figures from the original 70's and 80's trilogy STILL sell in stores, its unbelievable really.

    Jar Jar. What a legend.

He single handedly made the prequels.

I watched star wars with my 6 year old daughter and she fell asleep. It was totally boring to her.
