No one is using Yao as an excuse. It's fact that he is making 17 million and is hurt. For those of you that wanted Yao traded because of his injury last year, I understand, it's a valid point. What would a trade of Yao netted the Rockets last year? Biedrens at best? You don't have to be a fan of Morey, I really don't care. What he's done with the money available, how he acquired Scola and Martin, was pretty impressive. DM's job is not finished and he knows it. It takes at least two teams to make a deal, I'm sure he's trying.

As far as Aldridge and Millsap, yeah it was ugly. How about someone step up and contend the jumper. Chuck is not the longterm answer but I'd be willing to bet if Chuck wasnt hurt and was in the game, things may have turned out a little differently.

We all want to win now I understand this, but Morey's job is not finished. I think he's earned more time, so I will reserve judgement for a later time.

Daryl. Terrence Williams isnt playing. Jordan Hill is not very good. Shane is gonna have that contract expire before you trade it at this pace. Yao isnt coming back ever. EVER! Budingers highest value is now. Scolas highest value is now. Brooks highest value is now and expiring and probably leaving in the offseason. Daryl.. Time to do something. Something just for the sake might be a dumb argument if you get nothing for Brooks when he leaves and Battier leaves. Then you just look stupid for not getting anything for Brooks and Battier.

Ok I understand BIG MOVES take TIME but come on; when will this time period is gonna start and thankfully end with a trade?

Michael Beasley traded for two picks, Al Jefforson traded for two picks and Kosta Koufos! Ok maybe we didn't have enough cap space or trade ex. for Al-Jeff but we could've have Beasley now. And he'll be on our SF spot instead of Battier.

And his data-based undersized player love makes me wanna stab myself.

i understand the frustration with this franchise and dead on, this team is going nowhere as it's constructed, but i dont blame morey. For alot of the losses this year, i blame adelman for sticking to the rotation instead of riding the players are playing well. Last night for ex: ish playing very well and we have the lead until he yanks him with 7 minutes left to put in lowry who's had a horrible game, we go on a scoring drought and lose.

Morey didn't draft yao and didn't have anyone to really go after except for gortat who turned us down last year. This year he's tried to go after Bosh who turned us down, not much he can do if bosh had his mind set on miami. There will be a trade coming up before february, but fans have to understand it takes two to tango and we can't just say "oh we should get this guy" and it happens like that.

is it still a knee jerk thread when you post after your 5th straight loss and your record is 16-21?

DM sees what all of us are seeing with the team and I am sure he will get something done but the deals will not go through till the trading dealine in February. I wish some thing would get done sooner but it will not happen. I just hope the team keeps close to .500 till then. Will support the team always, just hate all the losing.

The term "Clutch City" came from when they came back and won the Phoenix series in the 1994 playoffs. It was in response to them blowing big leads in 2 games in that series and the Houston Chronicle calling them/the city "Choke City". I don't think it has anything to do with the 80's.

Now I'll let you all get back to your latest blamefest! Grab your pitchforks and GO!

    good teams never stay pat.

Just like the best players never do. Kobe said it best once. As you are in the league there are young guns coming in every year. To stay on top of your game you have to make a lot of improvements and changes.

Miller's strengths as Yao's backup (passing, outside shooting, high post offense) compliments Yao's strengths as a starter ( defensive presence, low post offense). That was the plan. As we all know things don't always go according to plan. Also, a short term stop gap at center right now can totally hinder any long term plans we have of getting a coveted star. MOREY is sticking to his guns placing more value on long term objectives vs. short term moves.

dude if that says anything, it shows a trend about two or three of the constants. In Yao's case....Get Him a freaking backup!

No excuses at this point , its been 4 yrs now. Don't tell me that that isn't long enough to provide a backup. Everything else is beyond his control. But his main problem is that he tries to play overly smart in certain situations. Sometimes you don't hold all the cards and can't bluff it off every chance you get.

Dude. In every single "big move" that has been made since the start of free agency, you have heard that the Rockets have tried to get in on in some form or another. Big moves are hard to pull. Morey not being involved in "big moves" so far hasn't been for a lack of trying.

In my book, trading for Artest was a big move, trading for Martin, was a big move, trading for Hill and the NY first rounders was a big move.

Oh please, trading Budinger for LaBron would be a big move. Trading Lowry for Chris Paul would be a big move. Trading Martin for Kobe would be a big move, but does Morey make any of these moves? Of course not, he sits on his ass and does nothing. Morey just wants us to lose games. Les is cheap, Morey is lazy, Adelman sucks, and the players don't try very hard. Also, our trainers made Yao's bones break, and Clutch the bear is lame. Right?

Also, the hot dogs cost too much at Toyaota Center.

you left out the last part of my post which basically said the same thing you said in the last part of yours: personally, i also think morey's earned a little faith as well and whether we commit full on to rebuilding (trade Scola, Kmart, AB, etc) or attempt to add a few key pieces to our current core, i think we will be competitive deep into the playoffs within 2 seasons.

however, i pointed out that it is totally legit for some people to doubt him. we have been saying "it sure would be nice to have a consistent shot blocking big" since Dikembe went down. the duct tape morey's using to hold this defense together is giving way and he deserves a little heat on that (it's his job) until he gets it done. and that doesn't mean they are "fair weather fans".

Agree on most points. I wasn't calling everyone fair weather. It's completely fair for people to want more from the team and Morey.

I was just saying, most people calling for Morey's head would jump right back on the bandwagon if a trade went down that they liked. That in a sense is fair weather.

I Wouldnt really say that Morey has much to do with how the guys are or are not playing D, other than he's in charge of personell. Players still need to step up.
