    Not only was there no reason, it was actually a pretty terrible call. The clock was around 25 seconds and running. The Jets either needed to hurry up and call a play, or take their last timeout. A hurried play call has more potential for mistakes, and calling the last timeout might force them to kick the field goal there or risk running into clock issues later on. The Colts saved them from having to make that decision.

    Just got back in time to see Vinitieri's FG. I knew the Jets were going to win after the kickoff return and the first pass completion. I really hoped the Jets would lose because I wanted to see the media fallout in NY. Oh well.

    And props to the Hawks for taking down the Saints! It's a good story. The Saints were my least favorite in the NFC playoffs. Now I really don't care who wins.
