I'd only include him in a trade if we get a significant upgrade in return. He plays good defense and we need that on the perimeter.
My thoughts exactly. Particularly important defense! Hollinger seems to have some comments on him in Insider, if anyone can post. We are almost at the point now that in February we will be trading with a contender instead of a lottery team. So I think we will be trading starters for potential future instead of bench players for elite talent.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg5OImTFfjE&feature=fvst This is what it looks like when you close you eyes right before he hits a shot.
There are many players on the squad I'd trade before him... And since this thread kind of sucks I'll change the subject. Why are the rockets so committed to Yao? The guy probably will not play again and, if he does, he'll never be what he was. I just don't understand what Les and Morey get out of tanking the better half of the decade for Chinese money... Oh wait, I guess there's a healthy bottom line and its the dollar sign.
I oppose trading cheap players that give effort on both sides of the court. Fundamentally opposed to it. Courtney Lee stays.... Bigger story... did yall see my boy T Will trying to run the point? Courtney Lee was to erratic to do it, maybe T Will can do it and give us a big PG option, I honestly didn't expect to see that until I did. Me likey!
Disregard my above post... this trade fits the category of moving a cheap player and I approve haha jk.
the guy is second coming of Ariza, he keeps shooting contested shots and miss easy layups, if we get someone good in return am all for it, but I doubt it.
No, I am aware that he was being sarcastic. No sarcasm meter broken here. I made a smart, sarcastic like response to his initial reply because I found fault in his sarcasm. What I believe he intended to be a hyperbole missed the mark because what he actually gave was an almost accurate percentage of the shots he had missed, and a good percentage at that. His sarcasm would have been more effective had he said Lee missed oh let's say 90% of his shots. The statistic would then not be the truth, but an over exaggeration that would help his argument.
Everybody on the team should be available for a trade if we could get a star caliber player out of it.
Martin should not be traded because he will be a great complementary player to superstar. I mean, we should try our best to keep him.
Sadly, that pretty much defines everyone on this team. They're a pack of very capable beta dogs that lost its leader.
Better Idea: Brooks, Hill, Jefferies and Battier for Granger, Solomon Jones and Posey. Pacers save a lot of cash and get young prospects in Brooks and Hill, expiring in JJ and an expiring Posey in Battier. I think that's a realistic trade. Anyone think the Pacer's would reject? Defensively, we don't slip and our rotation actually becomes more defined and consistent. PG- Lowry, Ish, Lee, T-Will SG- Martin, Lee, T-Will SF- Granger, Posey, Bud, T-Will PF- Scola, Pat, Hayes, Posey, Granger C- Hayes, Miller, Jones We would need to trade for a back-up Center (Thabeet) and maybe another PG. We would be back in the playoff mix and able to upset in first round depending on matchup. Also important the departure of Brooks, Battier and Hill would give more court time to Pat and T-Will. Get this done!
