Why doesn't one exist? I think I saw that there was one for the Storm... But why isn't there a universal app available for Blackberry? Switching from Android to Blackberry was one of my biggest mistakes of 2010. Guess it's going to be a tough 2 years....
Blackberry is outdated and RIMM is showing little initiative in keeping up with iOS and Android. Essentially, the only reason some of my friends stick with it is solely because of BBM. I think Microsoft should buy them out.
Arrogance. RIM didn't believe that the iPhone could exist, then didn't think it could gobble market share the way it did. I wouldn't be shocked if it joins AOL and Blockbuster as poster children for tech failure.
Hate, hate, HATE my Blackberry Tour. Work bought it and I need it for work related stuff, but I'm about to go Droid or iPhone for my own personal use. Just do not wanna be the douche carrying around two phones.
About a month ago, my wife switched from Blackberry Bold to Samsung Captivate. She sorely missed her keyboard and didn't really take too well to swype. Well, yesterday, she admitted to me that she actually thinks her new phone is really cool and glad she got it. I think it's all the apps that are freely available in the marketplace that sold her. She's a convert and probably will never want to go back to Blackberry. RIP Blackberry.
Blackberry is crap. My company has always had blackberry and currently I have a company-provided Bold. I wouldn't pay a buck for one of these turds.
I got a Blackberry Tour from Verizon last May. I freaking hate it now. It is really a piece of crap compared to Android devices. I am strongly thinking about just paying the early termination fee and going to Sprint / EVO 4G. Verizon is starting to piss me off. They have the highest ETF's out of all the providers and now I read that they are eliminating the early upgrade and New Every 2 program. Thats BS.
The problem is that the BB server software costs $. That's an investment that keeps the BB in your company.
Very true. That, coupled with tight e-mail integration. But that will only go so far. RIM's complacency is gonna cost them. They're self-destructing.
My gf just started a new job where she was issued a Blackberry Bold by her firm. She has a personal iPhone and I told her to cancel the iPhone... but she hates the Blackberry and won't do it. So I told her she was going to be a "tool" carrying two phones everywhere. But for a girl, I guess I understand since you have a purse to throw **** in. But as a guy? I hate having one phone and wallet and keys in my pockets... I can't imagine having two phones in my pockets... would probably have to double down on the douchery and go with holsters for them.
Disclaimer: I'm a poor azz dude that couldn't afford two phones if i wanted to. I don't think it makes you a douche for owning two phones or carrying two phones especially if one is just for work. Now if you're carrying two phones and neither phone was work-given and you're doing it to say look at me I have an Iphone and an Android or some other crap like that then yeah dude is a douche. Just my opinion though.
When her captivate gets Android 2.2 she'll love it. Also get her to download Launcher Pro to customize her phone.
