Mysterious Skin was an amazing movie with a great soundtrack. If you like shoegazing, it's definitely worth checking out. In Bruges, Cashback, and Frailty are all popular films, or so I thought. Saw all of them at Blockbuster which these days only stacks copies of movies in stores it knows people will see.
Of those listed, I've seen Sex Drive and This Is England, and found both highly enjoyable (for clearly different reasons). For anyone interested in design, advertising, or just interesting documentaries in general, I suggest Art & Copy, Objectified, and Helvetica. All are available through Netflix streaming.
Ran into this while looking up the films, incase anyone cares: As if instantly downloading movies from Netflix (NFLX) couldn't get any more convenient, the tech giant is now looking to make movie streaming even easier for customers via a huge red button that offers a one-click-away feature on new remote controls. http://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/...utton-appear-remote-controls-movie-streaming/
Love Netflix on PS3. Thought Sex Drive was a modern National Lampoon craptastic movie but I guess I might watch it now.
is anyone having netflix streaming problems on ps3? i cant play a movie more than 3 minutes without going into "retrieving " **** is pissing me off. anyways..netflix works cool on my laptop..ps3 way is sucking though I watched a real good movie the other day called Turtles Can Fly
why can't netflix have subtitles available for all their streaming movies/shows? with all the great things they are doing, it would seem this is something so simple. i'd love to watch some british shows but can't really enjoy them because i can't understand what was just said.
On some movies and shows it has that option.. Well for PS3 netflix that is, I'm not sure about other formats like on the Roku box, or google tv etc, etc... So yes, the ps3 netflix versions should have options on turning on subs or not...
Thought it was better than good, it was terribly underrated when it came out highly recommended. Rules of Attraction is probably one of my all time favorite films.
i stream on PS3. the last movies i watched didn't have the subtitles...Insomnia, Shutter Island, Skins. i really only needed it for the show Skins but i checked the other ones too because i had to keep the volume down. subtitles weren't available.
Sex Drive was a funny film, I have it saved on my DVR, but I don't think it was the funniest film of the year. When was this article written because that film came out in 2008? Lately, I have been catching myself watching a lot of the National Geographic shows on Netlflix streaming. That North Korea one was crazy. Is there any hope for that country?
Here's the explanation from Netflix's Chief Product Officer: http://blog.netflix.com/2009/06/closed-captions-and-subtitles.html And here's his follow-up post: http://blog.netflix.com/2010/04/subtitles-now-available-for-some-titles.html
A couple of things I just added, a few that are considered among the 'best of the year'. A Prophet http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1235166/ Exit Through The Gift Shop http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1587707/ Restrepo http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1559549/ Insomnia http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0278504/
Sex Drive was good, watched it last night. We should keep this thread updated in case you guys find gems. I recommend The Man from Earth I saw it a few years back and it was awesome, glad to see it was available on netflix for streaming
