Rockets are only loyal with superstars.

As Rockets fans, I don't think we can criticize Mobley for leaving as a free agent. The Rockets should have planned ahead better if they wanted to keep Mobley. Maybe they should have held back a little on the Cato deal or something else so they would be able to sign him for his market value.

The Rockets are only loyal when it comes to superstars. Hakeem, Clyde, Scottie, and Charles were all shown a lot of respect because it would have been a HUGE mistake to screw around one of these guys in the eyes of the other players. If you aren't a superstar, then you are a second class citizen. Just ask Kevin Willis, Antoine Carr, Othella Harrington, Robert Horry, Sam Cassell, Michael Dickerson, and Mark Bryant. Kevin Willis is the best example. He signed with the Rockets for less than market value so he would have a chance at winning a championship and they traded him away.

I don't think that the Rockets did anything wrong when they traded away these productive players, and I think that Cuttino should stay with the Rockets for his own benefit, but what it boils down to is business for these guys. Cuttino was the 41st pick and he could sign a big contract now. That is the equivalent of winning the lotto.
